General Announcements

If you have a library book that you need to return, please bring them to the Attendance Office and Mrs. B. will get them checked-in.  Thanks so much for your help.

Today is the final day of FBLA testing. Come to room S2 and S3 to take your test.

The TSA Club will meet today as we prepare to move forward towards the TSA State Conference in February. In addition, please check your email for a follow up message regarding the conference registration.  Please see Mr. McMullen for any questions and/or concerns.

Speech and Debate: Speech and debate general meeting Tuesday Jan 21st in C15.  No picture on that day, but we need you in tournament attire on Thursday Jan 23 after school for team pictures.  All Congress National Quals need to practice Thursday this week, and Tuesday and Thursday of next week.  

Remember, students, that The Muse magazine has extended its deadline for writing and art submissions for Volume 12.  The Muse staff believes that sharing our stories will make us stronger and help us heal.  We would also like to remind faculty and staff that you, too, can send us your stories, reflections, or artwork, especially as it pertains to the last month here at Arapahoe.  Faculty submissions can be emailed directly to Mr. Miles.  Students, please see our guidelines for submitting on The Muse web page under Activities.  Our new deadline will be the last day of January--the 31st.    Thank you.

AHS Theatre Company presents Alice in Wonderland  tomorrow at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm. Admission is free! This is a children's theatre performance so young children are encouraged to attend. We hope to see you there!

Attention all FBLA Members.  Students who are competing in a presentation event at the District Competition are invited to a competition prep night on Wednesday, January 22nd.  Please stop by the business department during lunch or after school today in order to sign up for this event.
Hey Warriors!  The 2014 Arapahoe High School Winter Dance, A Night in Lights, is on Saturday, January 25th from 7-10 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria.  It is semi-formal and is a Sadie Hawkins night where the girls invite the guys!  The cost is $10/person in advance and $15/person at the door.  Tickets go on sale in the cafeteria during both lunches beginning Tuesday, January 21st.  This dance is so much fun, you won't want to miss it! 

Hey Warriors, last Sunday the Broncos beat the Chargers sending them to the AFC Championship game vs. the Patriots. Tomorrow will be Bronco Spirit Day at AHS. Wear your best Bronco gear. There will be games in the cafeteria during both lunches. Go Broncos!

CafĂ© specials today:  Niccolos calzones, Chick-Fil-A sandwich.  Lunch today:  chili, popcorn chicken, salads, variety of cold sandwiches. 

Athletics

Our Lady Warriors swept Eaglecrest with wins by all teams. Balanced scoring by multiple players and aggressive defense was the theme.  Next up is this Friday at Overland starting with the Freshman at 4 pm.  Come out and support your Lady Warriors basketball!
Good luck today to our girls swim teams. JV will be swimming at Cherokee Trail at 4:30 and the Varsity team will take on Rock Canyon at 4:30 at home. Come cheer them on!

All girls interested in participating in tennis for the Spring 2014 season - there will be an information meeting today at 6:30 p.m. in Classrooms W201 and W202.  Hope to see you there!

Hey Warriors! Stop by Chaparral High School to cheer on our volleyball team on January 18th from 1-5 for the Warrior Rumble Tournament.  Tickets are $5 and all of the proceeds and donations will go to the Claire Davis Fund.
