*Have a HEART! Pay your Library Fines during the month of February and your fines will go towards the Warrior Week Fundraiser for Tony. Remember… All fines must be paid in the Library. Our goal is to collect at the very least $1,000 from the 606 students owing over $2500 in fines. As of today we have collected $200.50. Only $2,299.50 to go!
*Calling all artists and writers! MUSE is accepting our last round of submissions for this year's magazine. Your final date to submit is Friday, Feb. 22nd. Every submission will qualify for February's $10 gift card drawing. Don't delay, submit today!
*Seniors who have yet to apply to college or who would like to apply to additional colleges -- come to Application Day on Friday, March 1st to apply for free AND with support!!! Thirteen Career & Technical Schools, Community Colleges, and 4-year colleges will be here to tell you about their programs and support you in the application process. See the Post Grad website for more information. Please RSVP by Monday.
*Attention all seniors who have completed or are currently enrolled in Personal Finance or CE Personal Finance. The Business Department and Metrum Credit Union are now offering a $1,000 scholarship opportunity. Please see a teacher in the business department for more information about applying for the scholarship. All applications are due April 1st at 3pm.
*Sources of Strength is hosting a Movie Night for you and your positive pals. Join us in the forum after school tomorrow to watch Mean Girls. Bring your positive friends and enjoy time connecting with one another.
*Congratulations to the following students for being selected to the All-Colorado Honor Band! These students will be performing with the All-Colorado Honor Band in Gunnison during their annual festival, which will take place February 21-23, 2019. Section Members: Kaitlyn Arnold, Kalyn Bennett, Nicole Damon, Katy Edwards, Emily Hiltz, Tehran Law, Rachel Merrill, Ethan Rael, and Will Snell. Congrats Warriors!
*Congratulations to our Arapahoe Percussion Ensemble who performed their 2019 show and took a second place finish at Rocky Mountain Percussion Association’s first contest last Saturday! Keep pushing strong toward nationals! Way to go Warriors!
*Mark your calendars for Next Thursday, February 28th, as the Instrumental Music department invites you to their winter concert at 7pm in the theater. Performances by concert band, Symphonic band, wind ensemble, orchestra and jazz band.
Athletics
*Attention all boys interested in Swim and Dive this spring. All gear orders are due by this Friday Feb. 22nd. First day of practice is Feb. 25th. Go to ahsswimdive.com to register and order your team gear.
*Come support our Unified team at the Unity through Unified game at Heritage on 2/27 6 p.m. T-shirts will be on sale at all lunches for $10 each.
*Warrior Girl Golfers! The season officially starts this Monday Feb. 25. We are planning to have our first practice and tryouts at South Suburban from 4:00-5:30pm.
