General Announcements

*Juniors and Seniors!  It's time to nominate outstanding students for this year's Prom Royalty Court. The students you nominate should be individuals who are leaders among their peers and those who demonstrate qualities of the Warrior spirit.  Check your LPS email to use the nominations link.

*Seniors, if you are interested in auditioning to be the keynote speaker at this year's 2019 graduation ceremony, there is a google form to fill out in your LPS email inboxes. Auditions will be held on April 16th after school.  

*Have you ever been framed for murder? Follow everyman Richard Hannay as he runs from the law and tries to prove his innocence in spy story The 39 Steps, presented tomorrow and Saturday at 7pm in the theatre.

*Did you know that a pint of blood can save up to 3 lives? Sources of Strength ise hosting a blood drive and health fair on April 16th.  Sign up will be during lunches April 8th - April 15th for your scheduled appointment to donate blood. Anyone ages 16 or older can donate (16 and 17 need parent permission). Please consider donating and saving a life.

*Hey Warriors! Want to see some sweet shows and have some sweets to eat?
Arapahoe Winter Guard and Arapahoe Winter Percussion are hosting a Performance and dessert bar this Friday night at 7:00 PM in the gym. Percussion will perform their Steampunk program "Retro Future" and Guard will perform their inspiring show "Still I Rise."  The Winter seasons are coming to the final weeks for these amazing students. Tickets available at the door for only $10 which includes both shows and desserts! Join The Arapahoe Band Boosters for a great night!

*This Saturday Arapahoe Warrior Percussion will compete at Rocky Mountain Percussion Association's State Competition at the Air Force Academy.  Join us in wishing good will to all these hard working musicians! Go Warriors!

*TODAY is your last day to vote in the Library’s March Madness Tournament of BOOKS! Which book will win out? The Book Thief or The Hunger Games? Take the survey found in your LPS email. Everytime time you have taken the survey over the past month, your name has been added in the drawing for a chance to win a $25 Tattered Cover Gift Card! Listen in on Friday morning for the winner.

*Hey Warriors!  The Wind River Journey is coming up next week. Remember to bring in your gently used coats to share with the Northern Arapaho Nation. Collection boxes are at the east kiosk, cafeteria, front office and Counseling office through April 10. Thank you for your generosity!  

*Arapahoe is hosting the Colorado Special Olympic Regional Swimming Competition on Saturday, April 27th. The competition is from 8-4. Lifeguards are needed for this event. Certified Lifeguards can volunteer any amount of hours. Every hour helps out. Please contact Mrs. Leyden if you can volunteer. Stop by her office in the pool or email her. Lifeguards for this event do not have to be Arapahoe students.  Please pass this on to guards you currently work with or guards you work with in the summer.

*Deputy Englert and Deputy Tipton want to remind everyone that April is distracted driving awareness month. Last year of 15,000 crashes were linked to distracted driving in Colorado. Put the phones down and get rid of those distractions in the car. Please drive safe.

*Please join Boys Swim & Dive at the Arapahoe pool tonight at 5:00 for a dual meet against Grandview, and on Saturday morning for the AHS Invitational.  

*Girls Lacrosse competes against Regis today. JV plays at 4:30 at Newton MS and Varsity is at 7:30 PM at LPS Stadium. Come out and cheer on your Lady Warriors!
