 General Announcements

*Hearing and Vision screening will take place from  February 12th through February 16th. Freshmen will be pulled from US History and US History Honors classes and all new 10, 11, and 12th graders will receive a pass with their scheduled time. The screening bus is located on the east side of the building.  Please use the east doors in the Art Department to exit the building and return through the Bubble. Remember to bring you glasses or wear your contacts for your screening! Any Questions, see Mrs. Wern in the Main Office.


*Warriors, Arapahoe High school is lucky to have such an outstanding counseling team!  Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Rivera, Mrs. McKee, Mr. Wadsworth, Mr. Baker and Mrs. McCarthy are all here to help students succeed in all aspects of their life! Please take a moment if you see one of them to wish them a Happy School Counselors Week!


*DECA is currently holding a book drive to collect books (new or used) for the free library at Gracefull Cafe. We are collecting books for readers of all levels. Donation boxes are located in the Business Office and at the east security desk in the bubble entrance. Any book donations would be greatly appreciated.  The book drive will end Friday, February 16th.


*To celebrate Black History Month, we will be sharing information about African American advocates in the Mental Health Community. The African American community have made powerful contributions to the mental health field and we would like to shine light on and celebrate those contributions. 


*Jennifer Eberhardt is our African American Pioneer of the day! She is an esteemed professor of psychology at Stanford University. She is an expert on the consequences of the psychological association between race and crime and has done extensive research on the topics of implicit bias, criminal justice, and the education system. Her work has provided the evidence needed to educate law enforcement officers in implicit bias training. In 2014, Dr. Eberhardt's work earned her the famous MacArthur "Genius Grant" Fellowship.


*Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is around the corner.  It's the perfect time to show appreciation and celebrate friendships with those who make our days brighter.  Send a card, flower or a goodie bag to brighten someone's day! LSA is selling the valentines during both lunches Monday and Tuesday prices are $1-$3 and will be delivered on Valentines! 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Athletics

Hey Warriors! Come support your Arapahoe Boys' Basketball team TONIGHT at 7:00pm as they take on the Bruins at Cherry Creek in the first round of the Centennial League Tournament. Good luck, Warriors! 

*Good luck to our Boy and Girl Warrior Wrestlers as they compete at Regionals TODAY & TOMORROW!

*Hey Warriors - girls that want to try out for the AHS Girls Golf team must sign up THIS WEEK using the QR code posted on the website or around the school.  See Coach Riordan in the World Language department with any questions.

*Any AHS boys interested in playing on the LPS Boys Volleyball team this spring, we have open gym time scheduled for TONIGHT and the 15th @ Littleton HS (north gym) from 8:00pm-10:00pm.  Tryouts are February 19th-21st.
