General Announcements
*Seniors, Herff Jones will be in the bubble TODAY from 10:00am - 12:00pm to distribute Graduation Announcements that were ordered in the fall. Please stop by and pick up your order.
*Congratulations to the AHS Computer Science Club at the recent Lockheed Martin Code Quest where they were among the top performers. They will compete again in April at School of Mines in their CS@Mines High School Programming Competition.
*ATTENTION all Senior boys, the Mr. Arapahoe contest is quickly approaching on Monday, April 29th. Do you have what it takes to be the next Mr. Arapahoe? The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, March 8th and we want YOU to sign up to show your school spirit. Look for the QR code on signs throughout the school.
*Sophomores & Juniors... sign up for college visits in Scoir and save money on airfare! Reps from Cal Poly, Grand Canyon and University of Connecticut will be here this week, Penn State & Baylor next week. Don't miss the opportunity to connect with reps from colleges you're interested in! See your counselor or Ms. Conn in the Postsecondary Center if you have questions, and please get a pass from one of us if you'll be missing class.
*Want to visit even more colleges for free? Don't miss the Denver Spring College Fair this Sunday, March 3rd, from 1-4pm at Cherokee Trail High School! With over 160 colleges to check out, you're sure to find a few to add to your list!
*Do you like golf but you're not part of the team? Well Arapahoe has a new Golf Club starting March 4th! Come out and work on your skills and play some golf with us. You can sign-up by going to the Arapahoe Golf Website or with the QR code that is posted around the school. See Ms. Hamilton or Mr. Riordan with any questions.
*Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge! It’s time to get your dodgeball team together for the Wish Week Dodgeball Tournament on Tuesday, March 19th. Teams will consist of 10 kids, at least three have to be female. We are limiting sign ups to the first 16 teams, so first come, first served. Team captains, come down to the Activities office to pick up your packets.
*Warriors - the Be Happy Boutique is coming back to Streets of SouthGlenn! This is an opportunity to get formal wear (dresses & suits) for all of your formal events — from prom to homecoming and everything in between at a price you can afford. Mark your calendar to visit their ONCE A YEAR shop on the first two weekends of March! Be sure to plan ahead! They are located at Streets of Southglenn - across the street from H&M. They follow a pay what you can model. So whether someone can offer $0, $20, or more, all are welcome.
*Warriors there will be a FREE ‘Alive @ 25’ class Monday, March 11th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 ½, you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a discount after taking the class. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.alive@25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
