Warriors!  October 31st is nearly here.  As you prepare your creative and ghostly costumes, there are a few reminders that we have for you with regard to making them appropriate for the school day.  First, follow all guidelines in the Student Handbook regarding Student Dress Code.  Second, you may not wear any masks.  And, finally, your costumes may not contain any weapons or anything resembling a weapon.  If you are unclear on any of these guidelines, please come to the office prior to Monday’s celebration.

“Ghostly Sweets for the Holiday” Contest

I was working in the library late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my biology from the table began to rise
And suddenly, to my surprise…

Take a break from all the “ghooling” madness of the holiday season and come check out the Library.  In addition to having all the materials and studying tools you need to get ready for all of your “beastly” projects, we are sponsoring a holiday contest for all students! Come check out the jar of goodies located at the Circulation counter and make your best guess.  The prize for the closest guess is the jar of goodies of course!  The lucky winner will be announced on Monday, October 31st (Igor not included).

Your Homecoming pictures are here.  You may pick them up in the front office.

Athletics-

AHS Special Olympics Basketball team is looking for partners to play on the team.  Practices are on Monday nights from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Newton.  Some practices and games will be at Arapahoe.  Practices start in late November and the season runs through February.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Pepe in room S6 to sign up.

The Arapahoe diving team will have a mandatory meeting in the swimming pool area today at 2:20 PM. Please see coach Richmond if you can not attend.

Please take a moment to congratulate Garrison Cole, Boys Varsity Soccer Player, for being selected as the IBM High School Hero of the Week.  Garrison will be recognized by 850 KOA, and will be invited to a reception in March at Dove Valley.
