General Announcements

Warriors!  October 31st is nearly here.  As you prepare your creative and ghostly costumes, there are a few reminders that we have for you with regard to making them appropriate for the school day.  First, follow all guidelines in the Student Handbook regarding Student Dress Code.  Second, you may not wear any masks.  And, finally, your costumes may not contain any weapons or anything resembling a weapon.  If you are unclear on any of these guidelines, please come to the office prior to Monday’s celebration.

If you are able to donate blood at the NHS blood drive next Tuesday, November 1, you must sign up for a time slot today or Friday this week.  NHS members will be at the sign-up tables in the cafeteria during both lunches.

Attention mathematicians! Your permission forms for the UNC Math Competition are due on Monday, Oct.31. Please see Mrs. Lobser if you have questions.

Attention FBLA Members!  We will have a brief but very important meeting TODAY at 2:20 in S1.  Don't forget your t-shirt money.  See you there.

Attention sophomores!  You can register for the PLAN test in the Guidance Office at the Post Grad Center until November 2, 2005.  The cost is $20.00.  The test is on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Arapahoe High School.

“Ghostly Sweets for the Holiday” Contest

I was working in the library late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my    biology from the table began to rise
And suddenly, to my surprise…
Take a break from all the “ghooling” madness of the holiday season and come check out the Library.  In addition to having all the materials and studying tools you need to get ready for all of your “beastly” projects, we are sponsoring a holiday contest for all students! Come check out the jar of goodies located at the Circulation counter and make your best guess.  The prize for the closest guess is the jar of goodies of course!  The lucky winner will be announced on Monday, October 31st (Igor not included).

Your Homecoming pictures are here.  You may pick them up in the front office.

Congratulations to Alexa Ankele and Spencer Zepplin who won 1st and 2nd place in the Tattered Cover Banned Book Essay Contest.  They will each receive a cash prize and our school library receives $200.00.  You two rock!

All students attending the Alive at 25 field trip on November 1st must meet at the south cafeteria entrance by the DECA store BY 7:15am on Tuesday, November 1st. Again, you must be there for attendance by 7:15am.  Don’t forget to bring a lunch.
