General Announcements

As we reflect on last years tragedy at the Bonfire, the Remember Club would like to remind everyone to make good choices, buckle up and be safe!

Don't be left out at the Homecoming Pep Assembly! Come and buy your Homecoming t-shirts for $5.00 in the cafeteria thru Thursday, October 6th.  T-shirts will be sold at both lunches.  Remember: freshmen wear black, sophomores yellow, juniors green and seniors blue!

Homecoming is a special time with special days, special schedules, AND SPECIALS in the DECA STORE!!  Put some extra jazz in your step with Spirit Beads, 3 for $1.00!!  Decorate yourself for the occasion with Tattoos for only $0.50, and Mingle with the best of them at the Homecoming BBQ Today- tickets available for $3.00 in the store.

Tickets will be on sale for Arapahoe’s Homecoming Football game during lunches on Thursday and Friday.  If you don’t have a student ID you will need to purchase a ticket for the game.

The Pepperdine information session on Thursday, 10/6 at 7PM has been relocated to the Wyndham DTC. 

Students, are you a junior with a 3.5 grade point average or a senior with a 3.25 grade point average? If you are not already a member of the National Honors Society you should have received a letter to apply to this academic and service organization.
If you did NOT receive a letter, please pick one up from Mrs. Kramer in the Art Department or Mr. Sale in the English Department by today.

You can register for the PSAT in the guidance office today through next Wednesday, October 12th.  The cost for the test is $20.00 and is payable at the time you register.  The test is at Arapahoe on Saturday, October 15th.

Seniors and juniors:  Arapahoe is hosting more than 40 college representatives in the next 3 days.  This is a great opportunity to meet representatives without traveling! Check the whiteboard outside the Guidance Center for the day’s schedule.

Rebel Without a Cause tickets on sale during lunch.  Show dates are Oct. 13, 14 and 15 at 7:00 pm. Don't miss it.

Link Leaders, if you signed up to play laser tag, Mr. Hatak needs your forms and money by Thursday the 6th!

Hey Freshmen!!  Come to the Link Crew Homecoming T-shirt decorating party.  It’s today, from 2:30 to 3:30 in the cafeteria.  Bring paint, glitter, glue and black t-shirts.  Black t-shirts will be available there for $ 5.  Make sure you’re decked out with the best of ‘em at the Pep assembly Friday!  Remember, the party is only for freshmen.

Actors, techies and all Thespians check call board for Colorado State Thespian information.  If you want to attend this year's conference see Mr. Earley, ASAP.  You must sign-up this week.
  
Attention current NHS members! The next NHS meeting is today, at 2:30 in the Forum. If you did not attend last week's meeting please plan to be there and find out about the blood drive and other service opportunities.

This message is for any student who’s ever written anything in school, or doodled in your notes, or scribbled down a few thoughts about life.  That’s right; this message is for every student here at Arapahoe High School.  You now have the opportunity to contribute your writing and artwork to the best creative arts magazine in the west: the Arapahoe Muse.  We are open for business, now accepting YOUR submissions!  To submit online, go to the Arapahoe homepage under Activities, then click “Muse”.   You can submit hard copies in the library at the front desk.  Show us your work!  You may get published, and we all win!  

Warriors, please check out the lost and found table in the cafeteria during lunch this week for any items you might be missing.


Athletics-    

Congrats to Warrior Varsity Volleyball who scraped out a win against Douglas County last night in five games.  They improve to 10 and 5, good luck tomorrow against Highlands Ranch.

Attention all boy's JV tennis team members who signed up for the tournament:  the brackets are posted on Coach Brayton's desk in the science office.  You are responsible for checking on when you play and reporting your scores.

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Chaparral yesterday 5 – 0. Jeremy Hayes scored 2 goals and had one assist. Keegan Bast, Taylor Habig and Chad Whitaker scored one a piece. Assists were given by: Chris Madigan, Chris Carry and Zach Salas.
