General Announcements
Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11th, is Veterans’ Day. In honor of the men and women who served and are currently serving in the US Armed Forces, Arapahoe will be celebrating for the next five days. Please stop by the military wall of honor in the cafeteria this week, and if you have time on tomorrow, come to the Forum and listen to a few veterans speak about their experiences. Remember that tomorrow we will have very special veterans visiting with our students in Forum throughout the day. Please say hi and thank them for their participation in our country’s Armed Forces during difficult times. Thanks
The next TSA meeting is tomorrow right after school in room E10. The Deadline for paying your $15.00 State & National dues is tomorrow!! These MUST be paid by tomorrow afternoon if you planning on attending the TSA State conference in February. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Please see Mr. McMullen for questions. See all of you tomorrow.
Salsa Night at the Rio Mexican Restaurant is this Tuesday, Nov. 11th at 7:30pm. Come join famous salsa dancers like fellow students Jordan Hunt, Justin Miller, Tyler St. Pierre and John Moore. Free Salsa lessons begin at 7:30 pm at the Rio near Park Meadows Mall. See Social Dance Instructor Mrs. Abner with any further questions.
Athletics
Attention all Winter Sports Athletes! You only have 2 days left to register for your winter sport season. Please bring your paperwork to the Athletic Office today after school to get your pink card clearing you for practice. Don’t let this hinder your tryouts for the season – get your paperwork turned in today!
All students interested in testing out of swimming need to be at the AHS pool @ 6:00am either on Thursday, November 13th or Friday, November 14th. You are only allowed to test 1 day. You must be ready to swim and bring your own goggles and towel. These are the only date seniors may test out. Seniors may not test out during 2nd semester.
Anyone interested in competing in track and field this spring needs to attend a brief informational meeting Tuesday at 2:30 in room S-14. We will be discussing the upcoming season, winter workouts, and indoor meets. If you are currently in a winter sport you do not need to attend. If you are unable to make the meeting please see Mr. Lienemann in the math office.
The AHS Girls’ LAX Club will hold its Registration Meeting on Thursday, November 13th in the Cafeteria from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Any player that plans to participate in the Spring Season must attend this meeting and complete all paperwork, order uniforms, and pay fees.
