General Announcements
Your Google Apps accounts will be upgraded this Friday evening (and into Saturday). This upgrade will give you access to almost all of the Google tools, including Blogger, Reader and Picasa, using your LPS Google Apps login. As part of this transition, please do not try to login to your Google Apps accounts between 9:30 pm on Friday until 10:00 pm on Saturday. Please see the AHS website for more details.

Students: Picture retake day is next week on Wednesday, in the theater hallway, October 27, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Please bring in your old packet for exchange.

Good luck to the Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard as they travel to Colorado Springs tomorrow to compete in state finals. Our Warriors are ranked fifth in the state going into this championship weekend.

Arapahoe is known for its previous wins with the Broncos wives food drive. Don’t break tradition! Bring your non-perishable food items to the collection boxes located in every classroom. Don’t forget that if Arapahoe wins we will get one thousand dollars!

Attention all new applicants to National Honor Society: Completed application packets are due to Mrs. Brachtenbach in the library today by 3:00. Applications will not be accepted after this time, so if you are not done yet, make sure you get it turned in by 3:00. Contact Mr. Smith in science or Mrs. Leclaire in language arts with any questions.

“On Thursday, November 4th, Colorado State University is hosting its annual Math Day competition in Fort Collins. If you are interested in signing up to compete, see Mr. Thurmond in the Math office for more information. Space is limited to the first 10 students who sign up.”

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Bronco Wives Food Drive? Now until October 28th you will receive a 50 cent credit off your fine balance for every non perishable food donation you bring in to the library. To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine, personally hand your donation to any of the library staff. Help yourself while you help others.

Athletics

Congratulations to both girls and boys cross country for qualifying for State yesterday at Regionals in Aurora! The boys placed third and were led by junior Chris Davis. Girls had almost a perfect score and finished first, led by junior Colleen Koenig. The state meet is next Saturday, October 30 at the Aurora Reservoir. Come out and cheer on the cross country team as they compete for the state title!!!

Congratulations to the sophomore volleyball team for their outstanding season. The team finished with 15 wins to only 4 losses and finished second in the Centennial League with a 6 and 1 league record. Great season Sophomores!

Hey Warriors! The Winter Sports season is just around the corner. Registration for Girls’ Swimming, Boys & Girls Basketball and Wrestling will take place beginning Tuesday, November 2nd. Make sure to stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your registration paperwork today!

All the senior girl swimmers and divers need to meet at pool after school today, for a yearbook picture. You need to bring a small baby picture of when you were swimming/ diving; the picture will not be returned to you.
