General Announcements

As promised, we would like to announce the winners for both the student and staff Halloween candy jars.
The winner of the student candy jar located in the library is….senior Andrew Thompson with a correct guess of 79. Andrew, please come down to the library and pickup your candy jar when you have a free hour!
The winner of the staff candy jar is campus security ninja, Christina Kolk. The jar contained 88 pieces of candy and Christina guessed 87! Christina, come down to the library and pick up your candy jar!
Congratulations to both winners!

Link Crew loves to have fun so we are jumping on over to Jumpstreet again. On Tuesday November 2nd, we will be traveling by district bus to Jumpstreet. The cost is $12.00. The departure time is 3:00p.m. and we will return by 6:00p.m. Please pick up all forms in the English Office today and return to them Mr. Trotter’s desk by this afternoon.

Come Salsa with Mrs. Abner’s Dance classes at the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant off of Park Meadows Parkway, Tuesday, Nov. 2nd from 7:30 – 8:30pm. The cost is $5.00. Ayi, Ayi!! Hope you can make it to Salsa night!

LAST CALL FOR THE BRONCOS WIVES FOOD DRIVE! Make sure that you bring in your non-perishable food items to ANY collection box located in EVERY classroom. If Arapahoe wins we will get one thousand dollars!

Attention Sophomores! The PLAN test is on Saturday, November 6. This is a great way to practice for the ACT! Sign up now through November 3 in the Guidance Office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in Post Secondary Enrollment Options for second semester the deadline is Friday, October 29. You must see your counselor for the enrollment paperwork. Pick up your paperwork as soon as possible.

The band and color guard are selling butter braids through the end of this week. Don’t miss out! Order today….see a band member immediately!

Athletics

Congratulations to your Freshmen BIG SIX League champions for their impressive win last night against Chatfield, 44-7. The win cinched the championship for your warriors and moved their record to 8-1. Great job guys!

Catch the last football game of the regular season as Arapahoe takes on Chatfield this weekend.
· Varsity plays tonight at 7:00pm at Jeffco Stadium
· JV plays on Saturday at 9:00am at Chatfield High School.

Attention all sophomore volleyball players: Please report to the main gym right after school today to turn in your uniforms.

Are you interested in auditioning for our award winning Warrior Winter Guard? Last year the Winter Guard placed 1st in the State! This year the Winter Guard will be traveling to make their debut at Nationals Competition. The first practice and tryout for new students is Monday November 1st from 3-7pm in the Aux Gym. The rest of the calendar is available at arapahoeband.com
If you are interested please talk to Coach Bailey or Mr. Hackett in the band office!

Attention ALL girls planning to tryout for Basketball this year: the Varsity and JV pre-season camp will begin next week Monday November 1st 5:15 to 8:00. Girls planning to tryout for Sophomore/Freshmen teams your camp will begin on Wednesday November 3rd from 5:15- 8:00. Both camps will be held daily and a camp schedule will be handed out the first night of each camp.

Hey Warriors! The Winter Sports season is just around the corner. Registration for Girls’ Swimming, Boys & Girls Basketball and Wrestling will take place next week! Girls Swim and Dive Registration will take place on Tuesday, November 2nd from 10:30 am – 12:10 pm in the Cafeteria and then again at 2:30 pm in Classroom S4. Boys and Girls Basketball will register on Wednesday, November 3rd. Wrestlers will register on Thursday, November 4th. Make sure to stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your registration paperwork today!
