General Announcements
Thanks to all of the chemistry students who made Mole Day a HUGE success. Hundreds of students arrived by 6:02am Friday morning to compete or cheer on their class teams in a MOLE-titude of events. Congratulations to this year’s grand champions, Mrs. Mann's 3rd period class.

Congratulations to the Warrior Band and Color Guard for an outstanding performance at the state championships last Saturday at the Air Force Academy. The Band and Color Guard played their best show of the season and earned the fifth place award.

STUDENTS: Picture re-take day is Wednesday, October 27, 9:00 a.m.-12:30p.m. The photographer will be located in the theater hallway. Please bring in your old picture packet to be exchanged.

Hey Warriors! It’s the last week for the annual broncos wives food drive. SO do not forget to bring in your non-perishable food items to the collection boxes located in every classroom. Remember that Arapahoe is known for winning. We can’t let anyone down this year!

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Bronco Wives Food Drive? Now until October 28th you will receive a 50 cent credit off your fine balance for every non perishable food donation you bring in to the library. To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine, personally hand your donation to any of the library staff. Help yourself while you help others.

“On Thursday, November 4th, Colorado State University is hosting its annual Math Day competition in Fort Collins. If you are interested in signing up to compete, see Mr. Thurmond in the Math office for more information. Space is limited to the first 10 students who sign up.”

Attention Sophomores! The PLAN test is on Saturday, November 6. This is a great way to practice for the ACT! Sign up now through November 3 in the Guidance Office.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in Post Secondary Enrollment Options for second semester the deadline is next Friday, October 29. You must see your counselor for the enrollment paperwork. Pick up your paperwork as soon as possible.

Come down to the library and guess how many Halloween candies are in the glass pumpkin! The student whose comes the closest to the actual amount …. will win the jar full of candy!
The winner will be announced Friday, Oct. 29th during the daily announcements. Happy Halloween from your AHS Library Staff!

Athletics
Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their exciting win over Mullen 44-40 on Saturday here at Arapahoe. The win moves the Freshmen record to 7 and 1 and positioned the team to win the first Big Six Freshmen league championship with a win this Thursday against Chatfield at Chatfield at 4:00 PM. Thanks to all of you that came out and supported the team on Saturday. Please come over to Chatfield on Thursday and make it our home field.

Attention ALL girls planning to tryout for Basketball this year: the Varsity and JV pre-season camp will begin next week Monday November 1st 5:15 to 8:00. Girls planning to tryout for Sophomore/Freshmen teams your camp will begin on Wednesday November 3rd from 5:15- 8:00. Both camps will be held daily and a camp schedule will be handed out the first night of each camp.


Registration for Girls Lacrosse will be held this Tuesday, October 26 from 7-8:30pm in the Cafeteria. Please bring all your paperwork and payment for the Spring season. There are registration packets available in the athletic office. Contact Lynn Balkenbush with any questions. bvi5@comcast.net

Hey Warriors! The Winter Sports season is just around the corner. Registration for Girls’ Swimming, Boys & Girls Basketball and Wrestling will take place beginning Tuesday, November 2nd. Make sure to stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your registration paperwork today!
