General Announcements

Congratulations to all the students who were nominated for this year's Homecoming royalty court.  In case you missed last night's talent show, we'd like to announce your 2013 royalty court.  For the freshmen class, Brian Thomas and Cecilia Duhamel.  For the sophomore class, Brett Harmon and Giulianna Laratta.  For the junior class, James Cox and Savannah Dowd.  Your prince and princess are Joe Redmond and Aya Fukuda.  Your king and queen are Chris Davis and Heather Klein.

Hope everyone is representing their state proudly! Be sure to look for your class’s collection jug today to donate to flood relief and contribute to your class competition. Tomorrow is Wacky Tacky Wednesday! Remember to wear your crazy and mismatched clothes! Tomorrow night is the bonfire at 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the baseball field!  See you there.  Also, be sure to stop by the cafeteria today to purchase Homecoming t-shirts and tickets to Saturday’s dance.  Tickets are $10 and t-shirts are $5. You can also stop by the cafeteria to sign up for the competitions that are a part of Friday’s pep assembly.

With Homecoming Week underway, it is important to be reminded of the importance of being safe. Today, on the south lawn, we have a car from the Alive at 25 program. This car was driven by a young man who had been drinking. He was killed when the car hit a bridge in Littleton. This is the kind of accident we hope all of our Warriors avoid by making safe choices. Remember to take care of one another ALWAYS!

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, if you are planning to bring a guest from another school to the Homecoming Dance, please make sure your Guest Forms are turned in by 3:00 p.m. today to Mrs. Scoglio in the Attendance Office.

Don't forget -- the AHS Speech and Debate Team meets today, as it does every Tuesday, after school in Room C15. Members, and anyone interested in becoming a member, should plan to attend. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

There will be a Drama Club meeting this Thursday, after school in the auditorium. New members are welcome. For more information, see Mr. Ahern in Room E-15.

Last chance! FBLA club dues and forms must be turned in no later than tomorrow, Wednesday October 2nd at our meeting in Room E9. Can't make the meeting? No problem, come to the Business Department for club updates or to drop off your membership packets.

Wild Warrior Women, meet in the cafeteria right after school on Thursday to decorate the building for homecoming.

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16! Registration ends on Wednesday, October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test! Math and Language Arts study sessions for the PSAT will be offered next week at 6:30 am in Room S-10. The math sessions will be on Tuesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 10th. The Language Arts sessions will be on Wednesday, October 9th and Friday, October 11th. Come to these sessions so you’ll be even better prepared to take the PSAT!
