General Announcements

It’s Wacky Tacky day! Tomorrow is Sports Day so come in your favorite sports gear and show your homecoming spirit! Tonight is the bonfire from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the baseball field! Don’t miss out! Also, be sure to stop by the cafeteria today to purchase homecoming t-shirts and tickets to Saturday’s dance.  Tickets are $10 and t-shirts are $5.  You can also stop by the cafeteria to sign up for the competitions that are a part of Friday’s pep assembly.

Register and Vote! It's your right. It's your voice.  Students who are 18, Election Day is fast approaching! Please come to the voter registration table during lunch today to register to vote!

There will be a Drama Club meeting tomorrow, after school in the auditorium.  New members are welcome.  For more information, see Mr. Ahern in Room E-15.

Last chance! FBLA club dues and forms must be turned in no later than today at our meeting in Room E9. Can't make the meeting? No problem, come to the Business Department for club updates or to drop off your membership packets.

Wild Warrior Women, meet in the cafeteria right after school tomorrow to decorate the building for homecoming. 

Hey Key Club, don't forget to wear your toga and walk with us at the homecoming parade on Saturday.

Seniors - please submit your cap and gown measurements and diploma information on line by next Wednesday! Go to the AHS website, click on the 'students' tab. You will find the necessary form under 'Senior Graduation Information'.

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16! Registration ends on Wednesday, October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test! Math and Language Arts study sessions for the PSAT will be offered next week at 6:30 am in Room S-10. The math sessions will be on Tuesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 10th. The Language Arts sessions will be on Wednesday, October 9th and Friday, October 11th. Come to these sessions so you’ll be even better prepared to take the PSAT!

Lost and Found:  Please check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office for smaller items.  Items remaining after 2:30 p.m. this Friday will be donated to a charity.

The 2013 Stride is almost here! Run or Walk The Stride 5k or 10k and help support the LPS Foundation. All proceeds benefit Littleton Public Schools Foundation and the work they do supporting teachers, students, and staff. Students and staff we need your help to win the extra participation award. Hurry and get moving fast to register. Check out www.runthestride.com  or register with any Physical Education Teacher. The race is Sunday, October 27th beginning at Ketring Park @ 8:00 a.m.

Café specials today:  Chick Fil A nuggets and Black Jack pizza.  Lunch today:  Chile and popcorn chicken.    Students if you have learned that you are no longer on the reduced lunch program, please get that application in as soon as possible. You may obtain an application from Mrs. Lawrence in the Cafe.  It will take up to five to ten days to get approval.  Remember you will have to pay full price for your meals until the application is approved.  

Athletics

Congratulations to the JV volleyball team for their win last night against Cherry Creek.  Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team for their come from behind victory in five games last night against Cherry Creek!  The Warriors were down 24-21 in the 4th game and came back to win 31-29, then battle to victory in Game 5 16-14. 
Way to go Warriors!

"Pink Cards" for Winter Sports will be distributed in the Cafeteria today from 2:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.  Online registration must be completed and a current physical must be on file in the Athletic Office before student-athletes can receive their "Pink Card".   Registration is completed online at www.ahswarriors.org.

Hello Warrior Lacrosse Players,    Are you girls ready for a great spring lacrosse season?   There are two important meetings coming up in October.  On October 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum, we will hold the Girls Lacrosse Kickoff Meeting and Informational Program Overview.  On October 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the Library we will hold spring girls lacrosse registration.  Please mark your calendars for both evenings and check out the team website at  http://girls.ahslax.org   Go Warriors!
