General Announcements

Warriors, it is great to see so many of you participating in the spirit of Halloween. Just a reminder that you cannot have weapons or facsimiles of weapons, masks or anything covering your face that makes you unrecognizable. Be safe tonight and take care of one another.

As promised, it is time to announce the winner of the student candy filled pumpkin jar in the library and the staff candy jar in the main office. And the winner is . . . senior, Kevin Dement with the correct guess of 111.  Please come to the library to pick up your prize!  The winner of the staff candy jar . . . is Mr. Swomley with the correct guess of 327.  We want to thank everyone who participated!  Congratulations Kevin and Mr. Swomley.

Today is the day!!  Student Council is collecting donations for Colorado Flood Victim Relief.  AHS is rising to the challenge from Lakewood High School to have all high schools in America raise $1,000. We are asking all students to donate $1 today.  Student Council members have collection cans.

Attention all DECA members, don't forget there's a meeting after school today.  It'll be a scary good time!

Attention all Juniors and Seniors.  Do you have a 3.0 grade point average?  Have you taken three business classes?  If so, pick up an application for Arapahoe's newest organization, The National Business Honor Society!  As a nationally recognized business scholar, you will have access to scholarships, participate in service learning and have a new addition to your college resume!  Stop by the Business Department for more details

Do you owe a library fine? Want to help someone in need? Bring nonperishable food items to the library to reduce your library fine. For each food item brought in, your library fine will be reduced by fifty cents. This is a great way to take care of your library fines and help someone else at the same time.

Attention all Arapahoe Students . . . we are calling on you to help others in our community who are in need.  We will be collecting non-perishable food for the students and community at Field Elementary through tomorrow.  Please help us support the Food for Field drive by bringing cans or non-perishable food to the boxes located in each classroom. The winning class will receive a prize. We will also be hosting a raffle during both lunches.  Please bring two non-perishable items in exchange for a raffle ticket. The winners of ten Deca Dollars will be announced tomorrow. Show your support for the community and make sure to donate!

Seniors:  Scholarship applications are arriving daily and some have deadlines coming up soon. Check on Naviance. There is something for everyone.
