This, October 30th, Arapahoe High School has the privilege of hosting the Colorado Supreme Court.  Because of this, the library will be closed that day to student use in order to provide a place for a breakfast and luncheon for the justices and their clerks. The library staff realizes this will be an inconvenience and ask that you plan ahead for your study needs. Rarely does a school get such an opportunity to witness our legal system in action firsthand. Your flexibility and understanding is appreciated.

Once again it’s time for the annual Halloween Candy Jar Count in the Library!! Come down to the library and guess how many Halloween candies are in the glass jar!  The student who comes the closest to the actual amount will win the jar full of candy!  Only one guess per day, please.  The winner will be announced on Halloween during the daily announcements. Happy Halloween from your AHS Library Staff!

Do you owe a library fine? Want to help someone in need? Bring nonperishable food items to the library to reduce your library fine. For each food item brought in, your library fine will be reduced by fifty cents. This is a great way to take care of your library fines and help someone else at the same time.

Are you a writer or an artist? Do you have art, poetry, or prose that you think the world should see? Then submit to the Muse! The Muse is a student-run literary and arts magazine featuring the products of Arapahoe's most talented and creative students– and YOU can be one of them! To submit, visit the Muse page under the activities tab on the school website.

Attention all Arapahoe Students . . . we are calling on you to help others in our community who are in need.  We will be collecting non-perishable food for the students and community at Field Elementary through November 1. Please help us support the Food for Field drive by bringing cans or non-perishable food to the boxes located in each classroom. The winning class will receive a prize. We will also be hosting a raffle during both lunches.  Please bring two non-perishable items in exchange for a raffle ticket. The winners of ten Deca Dollars will be announced  November 1. Show your support for the community and make sure to donate!
