General Announcements

Picture re-takes will be taken today from 10 a.m. to noon in the main office hallway. Please return your photo packet to the photographer for retakes.  If you have NOT had your picture taken, please do so on Tuesday. You need to have this photo for your student ID card. All students are required to carry a student ID card.

Juniors, the PSAT test will be taking place on October 15! Registration is going on now in the Guidance Office. Just bring your photo ID and $15 to sign up for this important test!  Also, Math and Language Arts study sessions for the PSAT will be offered next week at 6:30 a.m. in Room S-10. The math sessions will be on Tuesday, October 7^th and Thursday, October 9th. The Language Arts sessions will be on Wednesday, October 8th and Friday, October 10th. Come to these sessions so you’ll be even better prepared to take the PSAT!

Athletics

Your Varsity boys soccer team is taking on Overland today at the Arapahoe High School soccer field at 4:30.  Come out and cheer them on.

Open gym today after school at 2:30 in the Main Gym for boys basketball.  Tomorrow open gym will be at 5:30 p.m., and on Thursday at 5:30 a.m.  Remember to register online.

There will be NCAA/NAIA Compliance Orientation today during lunches in the Forum for all Juniors and Seniors interested in competing in athletics on the college level.  For more information and to sign up for this meeting, please stop by either the Athletic or Guidance Office.

Pink cards for Winter Sports will be distributed in the Cafeteria on Wednesdays from 2:15-2:45 p.m.  You must register online and have a current physical on file prior to receiving your pink card.

Registration for the 2014-2015 girls swim and dive season is open.  Go to www.ahsgirlsswimdive.com and click on Registration to get started.  Additionally, plan to join us tomorrow in the Forum for the new swimmer/diver meeting from 6:00-8:00 p.m. 

Warriors, the AHS girls lacrosse team needs your help to join us next Monday, October 6th  from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for the annual kick off meeting for all players and parents in the AHS Forum. We are excited to welcome our Freshman families as well as all returning players!  Our fun and talented Coaches, Stacey Birlson and Carrie Levi, will join us this evening.  All athletes, experienced and inexperienced, are encouraged to come hear about the AHS Girls Lacrosse 2015 plans.  Please bring your friends looking for an exciting team experience!  For more information, please visit the Arapahoe Girls Lacrosse website (http://girls.ahslax.org) or contact Keith Golding at keithlaxcoach@comcast.net.  GO WARRIORS!
