Hello Warriors! We hope you had a great weekend and are ready for Homecoming week! It is great to see all of you in your black and white attire! Kick off Homecoming Week by attending the Homecoming Talent Show on Monday, September 8. There will be one show at 7:00 p.m., and royalty will be announced at this show. Buy your $5 tickets at lunch or at the door.  Tomorrow, please wear your Colorado gear to support our great state! Wednesday night we have the Bon Fire from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on the baseball field. On Saturday we have the parade at 10:00 a.m. through the Streets of Southglenn. The dance is Saturday night from 8:00-11:00 p.m. We are selling tickets both lunches for $10 and $15 at the door.  See you there!

The Homecoming BBQ is almost here!!  Bring your friends and stop by for dinner at 6:00 p.m., right before the bonfire!  

Hey Warriors!  Do you want to do something for your community, want NHS hours, or want a little boost on your college application?  Come join Key Club, a community service that really helps the local community.  Everyone is welcome to join Arapahoe's largest club.  Our first meeting is today after school in Room N-2.  If you picked up a form at the Club Café, please bring it with you.  Everyone is welcome.  Can't wait to see you there!

Art Club will be meeting every day this week after school in E11 to continue work on our homecoming float. Hope to see you there.

Athletics

The sophomore and freshman volleyball teams both beat Chatfield in their games on Friday night...great job! The JV team had their tournament at Eaglecrest on Saturday and got second place! Congratulations Warriors!

Congratulations to the JV softball team for their strong showing at the Westminster Tournament this past weekend.  The Lady Warriors were one of two undefeated teams in the tournament.  They scored a total of 21 runs and only allowed 3 runs. Great job Warriors and good luck against Smoky Hill tomorrow.  

Congratulations to all the cross country teams for their wins at the Cherry Creek Invite on Friday.  Boys Varsity and JV took 1st place, boys open 6th, girls Varsity and open 3rd place and girls JV 5th. Time to gear up for Friday's races at the Liberty Bell Invite.

It was a great weekend for your boys soccer program – both the Varsity and JV teams won three games and solidified the win for the championship of the Warrior Invitational Tournament. Varsity goals were scored by Mike Chism, Wilmer Ramirez, and Chris Grauberger. JV goals were scored by Andrew Evans and Bryan Trainor. A huge thanks to the students, cheerleaders, and fans who came out to support the team. Next home game is Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. Come join us – they are on a roll! Go ABK!

Come support boys tennis this week!  Match today against East at City Park, Tuesday vs. Mullen at AHS, and Wednesday at Eaglecrest! Go Warriors!

Boy’s basketball open gym starts at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.
