*Are you interested in Sources of Strength and becoming a peer leader? We are looking for students who want to help lead the charge for positive message campaigns that spread hope, help and strength. Peer training will be in the Library from 7:15-8:15 am on Thursday Sept 19th and Friday Sept 20th. If you are interested please see Mr. Spare or Ms. Zimmerman in the counseling office. *Test Drive for your school - Saturday, Sept 21st - come to school anytime between 10:00 PM-4:00 PM and test drive a CAR or TRUCK! Vroom Vroom! For every person who takes a test-drive in a Ford vehicle during our event at Arapahoe, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Arapahoe Band. In total, as much as $6,000 could be raised! FOOD TRUCKS ADDED! It’s a party now, don’t miss! By taking a simple test-drive, you can support this cause and help our band in a meaningful way! Open to any driver 18 and over with proof of insurance. Parents, Teachers and Support Staff, this is your time to shine! Vroom Vroom! SATURDAY 10-4 Test Drive For your School Event in the EAST LOT.
*Garlic knots, pizza and soft drinks! Tonight for dinner! Garlic Knot Southpark location will be hosting their all you can eat buffet for just $10! Half the proceeds will be donated to Warrior Band! 5:00-8:00 PM tonight at Southpark Garlic Knot!
*Speech and Debate will not be meeting today after school, but varsity and novice members alike are encouraged to come to practice on Thursday of this week, to help lay some groundwork for the team this year.
Athletics
*Our Field Hockey Warriors completely shut out the competition last night. Varsity won 3-0 and JV won 5-0 over Fossil Ridge and C Team beat East 1-0! Way to go Warriors!
*The Milk Jug is home! Your Football Warriors battled to beat Heritage on Friday night, 9-7. Thank you to all the students, parents and teachers who came out in support; it was a record-breaking crowd. Next game is Thursday vs Rock Canyon at Echo Stadium.
*The volleyball team will be playing at Columbine today. Fresh/Soph plays at 4:30 PM, JV plays at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 6:30 PM.
*Our Boys Varsity Soccer team plays Ralston Valley HS at the North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada at 7:00 PM tonight. Good Luck Warriors!
*The ABK Fresh/Soph soccer team won their past 2 games -Saturday 3-2 over Mountain Vista and Monday 8-0 over Ralston Valley. They are now 6-1-1. The next game Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Grandview at 4:30 PM.
*Your LPS Girls Gymnastics Team is back in the gym tonight at Ponderosa! Competition begins at 6pm. Good luck, Ladies!
