*September is Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. In order to spread kindness and show our support for positive mental health, AHS is creating our own mural to be displayed in the cafeteria. During lunches this week there will be feathers to color in order to make wings for the mural. Please stop by the table to color your feather and get resources about Suicide awareness and prevention.
*MUSE is now accepting submissions for the 2019 magazine. Email your best poems, stories, and artwork to ArapMuseMag@gmail.com to enter yourself into our September gift-card give-away! - See Mr. Neenan with any questions.
*Kona ice is coming to Arapahoe this Friday, Sept. 13th after school sponsored by Student Council! Bring cash.
*Attention all NHS members! We will have our first meeting for returning seniors this Thursday, September 12th after school in the forum. We will be discussing the year ahead and meeting our new officers. See you there!
*FBLA is starting up! All are welcome to our meeting today in the Forum right after school. We will be discussing our social events, community service opportunities and, of course, our competitions that we have planned this year.
*Hey Warriors! Do you have used sports equipment at home collecting dust? DECA is collecting used sports equipment to donate to Field Elementary and Options Middle School! Green collection boxes are located around the school!
*Attention students: please be sure that you have downloaded the Infinite Campus app to your phone and have your notifications turned on. Check your notifications on the night of Sunday, September 15, to see if you have been assigned to a TRIBE enrichment. If so, you will report to that location on Monday, September 16. If not, you will report to your regularly scheduled TRIBE.
*Attention Arapahoe Ladies! Arapahoe High School is thrilled to announce that Powder Puff Flag Football will be a part of our Homecoming celebration this year! The game is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at 6:00 pm. Team Black will be made up of 16 seniors and 16 freshmen, while Team Gold will be 16 juniors and 16 sophomores. Applications will be available Monday, September 16 at 3:30 in the Activities Office. Only completed registration packets with checks attached will be considered for a team. The deadline to register is September 20. There will be at least 4 practices in October. The teams will be formed on a first come first served basis so be prepared to turn in your completed packet promptly. Checks will be returned to players who do not make a team. Please see Mrs Abner or Mrs. Price with questions.

*Congratulations to the Boys Warrior Golf team! They won the League championship for the 5th year in a row!
*Congrats to the JV softball team for their 2 wins on Saturday at the Westminster tournament. Great job ladies!
*Congrats to the Varsity softball team for their 15-0 win against Bear Creek yesterday. Your Lady Warriors hit 2 home runs in the game, bringing the total for the season to 13. Next game is Friday against Vista Ridge. Good Luck Ladies!
*Last night, your Arapahoe Boys Varsity Soccer team shut out rival Heritage by a score of 1-0. Way to go Warriors!
*The ABK Fresh/Soph soccer team beat ThunderRidge on Monday 8-0, continuing to play strong with 2 goals in the first 2 minutes. The next game is today against rival Cherry Creek at home at 4:30 PM. Cheer on your ABK’ers as they show the Bruins how Warriors battle!
*Your Warrior Boys Tennis had another resounding victory last night over Grandview! Varsity won 7-0 and JV 18-0! They continue to be undefeated in league play!
*Congratulations to the JV Volleyball team on their win over Ponderosa last night! Varsity lost a 5 set heartbreaker. All other teams fought hard and we will keep on fighting the fight!
*AHS Field Hockey is hosting Flapjack Fundraiser @ Applebee’s this Saturday, September 14th, 7:30-9:30 AM. Enjoy breakfast while being greeted and served by the AHS Field Hockey Teams! *It's a BLACK OUT for Friday’s Home Football Game Against Heritage! We will be pre-selling football tickets and black T-shirts for the game. Adult and student tickets and student T-shirts will be sold both Thursday and Friday from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM in the Cafeteria and in the East Main Entrance (bubble area). If you have an Athletic Pass on your student ID you will not need to purchase a ticket. All you will need is to bring either your student ID or a photo of your student ID with you to the game on Friday and present it at the pass gate. Go Warriors!
