 General Announcements

*Students that have signed up for the PSAT test on Wednesday, room assignments have been posted in the Cafeteria and near the Library.  If you are testing in one of the gyms, please enter through the EVENT Entrance on the west side of the building for check in. Otherwise, you can just report to your assigned room—plan to arrive at 9:20 for check-in. Please bring two #2 pencils and a calculator.  Leave everything else in your locker. 


*Seniors!  Do you have a November 1st college application deadline?  The College Application Tracking Form will be due on October 12th by 3:45pm for all schools with a November 1st application deadline.  See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.


*Attention Key Club members - club fees are due TODAY. Please bring your money to our meeting in the forum, after school, TODAY.


*Congratulations to the students in the “Cars & U.S. History” class for their successful car show this past Saturday.  Over 50 cars, everything from classics to exotics, showed up and showed off their vehicles.  The charity car show raised over $1,100 to support future shows and Arapahoe’s 2022 Toys For Tots Drive.

*The 16th Annual Arapahoe Invitational Marching Band Competition is October 15th at LPS Stadium.  We will be hosting 12 schools for a marching band competition.  Come and see your favorite band and color guard, or volunteer to help out for this event.  For information on schedules and  tickets, CLICK HERE.  If you are interested in volunteering contact festival@arapahoeband.com or volunteer@arapahoeband.com. Come cheer on your Warrior band.

*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Wednesday, October 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class.  Some insurance companies give a discount on rates for taking the class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password  ARAPAHOE.  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

 

Athletics

*The Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors had an excellent showing at regionals last week.   Five teams finished in second place and two teams finished in third!  Seven varsity warriors are headed to the State Championship starting on Thursday at City Park!  Good Luck Warriors 

*Attention Baseball Players - Anyone interested in playing baseball for the Warriors, we will have a meeting on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:41pm in room E1287. See Coach Dollaghan for more details.  If anyone is interested in becoming a baseball manager please see Coach Dollaghan.

*Support our ABK Boys Soccer and have a delicious meal too!  Join us at Cafe Rio at Streets of SouthGlenn on Wednesday, October 12th all day.  Use the attached voucher and Cafe Rio will donate 20% of all proceeds from the day to the team.  Only in-person orders will apply. A printed or electronic voucher must be shown at the register BEFORE PAYING for your order.  Students, don't wait until dinner time to support ABK, come enjoy lunch at Cafe Rio!
