General Announcements
*Juniors: The registration deadline for this year’s PSAT/NMSQT test is TODAY, Monday, October 3rd. The test will be offered on Wednesday, October 12th. This test is optional but it is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program. The fee is $20. To register, check the September Drumbeat or this form in the Announcements. Sophomores may take the test if they like, but please know it is optional. Sophomores have their own link.
*The fifth annual Arapahoe High School Charity Car Show is back! Come by on Saturday, October 8th from 9am to noon in the East parking lot. You can bring your car, your family's car, your friend's car and tell anyone with a cool car to come. We will award prizes for the top 3 cars deemed Best in Show. All donations will support the AHS Toys for Tots drive. Hope to see you there!
*Juniors & Seniors: college visits aren't over yet! Register to visit with Virginia Tech, Texas State, St. Olaf, and UCCS TODAY. See your counselor, Mrs. Conn, or check Naviance for more details.
*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Wednesday, October 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class. Some insurance companies give a discount on rates for taking the class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password ARAPAHOE. Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Come out and cheer for our Boys ABK Warriors against Grandview today. Varsity will play at 6pm at LPS stadium. JV will play here at Arapahoe at 4:15pm. Congratulations to Varsity for beating Cherry Creek last week 1 -0. If you can’t make it to the stadium tonight, you can watch the game on the Arapahoe Sports Network.
