General Announcements
*Seniors! Do you have a November 1st college application deadline? The College Application Tracking Form will be due on October 12th by 3:45pm for all schools with a November 1st application deadline. See Mrs. Arnold in the main office or Mrs. Conn in Post Secondary if you have questions regarding the tracking form.
*If you signed up for the PSAT that will be held on Wednesday, October 12th, please don't forget to pick up your Student Guide in the Counseling Office.
*The AHS Swim Waiver test will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd. If any students would like to try and test out of taking the AHS Swim required course, please link to the Swim Waiver test sign up on the AHS main website. Slots will fill up fast so please sign up asap. See Mrs. Abner or Mrs. Bradley in the Women's PE office if you have any questions.
*Attention Key Club members - club fees are due on Monday, October 10th at our meeting after school in the forum OR see Mrs. Monson in the World Languages office on Thursday, October 6th before or after school.
*Did you know that the Arapahoe Staff is made up of over 40 Classified Employees? It’s the custodians working overtime, it’s the paperwork being done behind the scenes, it’s the security of our campus and the customer service to all kids, parents and teachers. We are so grateful for our Classified Staff at Arapahoe. Thank a member of our classified staff today!
*The Fifth Annual Arapahoe High School Charity Car Show is back! Come by on Saturday, October 8th from 9am to noon in the east parking lot. Tell anyone with a cool car to come. We will award prizes for the top 3 cars deemed Best in Show. All donations will support the AHS Toys for Tots drive. Hope to see you there!
*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Wednesday, October 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class. Some insurance companies give a discount on rates for taking the class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us and use the password ARAPAHOE. Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Both ABK soccer Varsity and JV are coming off fresh wins against Grandview. Varsity won 2-1 in a stunning overtime win and JV won 3-0. Wish them luck as both teams play away against Smokey Hill at 4:15 today.
*Attention Baseball Players - Anyone interested in playing baseball for the Warriors, we will have a meeting on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:41 in room E1287. See Coach Dollaghan for more details. If anyone is interested in becoming a baseball manager please see Coach Dollaghan.
