General Announcements

AHS is now offering wireless Internet access for personally owned devices through the LPS PODNet. This Internet access will operate Monday through Friday with the same Internet filter that school devices currently use. The only difference between school devices and your own devices is that your personal device will only be able to access the Internet, not our file servers or printers. When you access PODNet you will have to agree to some conditions – please read those conditions carefully before connecting.

Did you know that the Bonfils Blood Center requires 4,350 blood donors each week to meet the needs of our community? You could be one of those necessary donors by signing up for the National Honor Society Bonfils Blood Drive, which will take place on Thursday, November 8. You must be 18 years old, or 17 with a signed parent permission form, to donate. NHS volunteers will be signing up donors during both lunches beginning November 1. Watch for posters around school, or visit the National Honor Society web page on the AHS web site for more information. Make a difference by literally giving of yourself.

Attention all FCCLA members.

Don’t forget our very important meeting on Monday November 5th after school in room E2. We will be discussing our Gifts-In-A-Jar Fundraiser as well as our Adopt A Family project for the holidays. Officers will also share information from leadership training.

See you after school on Monday FCCLA!

In 2006, 71 teen drivers and passengers ages 15-20 died on Colorado highways. 48 of them were not wearing seat belts. Today, 71 students are dressed up and not speaking to represent those who died last year. Please show your respect and do not challenge them to communicate with you today. Buckle up and save lives!

The Remember Club asks you to buckle up and take care of one another.
