General Announcements

In honor of Veterans’ Day, November 11th, we would like to honor those people who made and make soldiers’ jobs possible. During WWII, nearly 3 million teenage boys and girls went to work for US defense. They deferred their educations to make victory possible, working long hours each day in dangerous places such as shipyards and airplane fuselage plants. Please remember their contributions this Veterans’ Day.

Students participating in the Spanish club field trip after school must turn your able sheet in to Miss DiSepio as soon as possible in the foreign language office. We will be meeting at 2:30 in front of the bubble.

Attention Seniors! Don’t forget to set up your PAC meeting with your counselor ASAP if you have not yet done so.

Did you know that the Bonfils Blood Center requires 4,350 blood donors each week to meet the needs of our community? You could be one of those necessary donors by signing up for the National Honor Society Bonfils Blood Drive, which will take place on Thursday, November 8. You must be 18 years old, or 17 with a signed parent permission form, to donate. NHS volunteers will be signing up donors during both lunches beginning November 1. Watch for posters around school, or visit the National Honor Society web page on the AHS web site for more information. Make a difference by literally giving of yourself.

The Arapahoe HS swimming waiver test will be held on Thursday and Friday morning at 6:00 AM. Come either day prepared to swim.

Athletics

All swimmers and divers will register today after school. Check the pool foyer doors for your group assignment and practice times for Friday after school. Please note: Saturday practices are also posted on the pool doors.

Attention Young Democrats; there will be a meeting today in room C-6 after school to plan for the future. You don’t even have to be a Democrat to attend. Bring a friend.

Hey ADR members, we have another meeting today after school.

We are always looking for new members so feel free to join us. We will meet in room W105 after school this Wednesday to talk about our next shelter visit on Saturday November 10th. If you are interested in coming to the shelter but can't make the meeting, talk to Ms.Durow in the science office or Kaia Nutting. See you then!

The Remember Club asks you to buckle up and take care of one another.
