General Announcements

Attention all Arapahoe students! We need all of you to open your planner and flip to Tuesday April the 28th (Pause) Nothing there? Please write, in pen, Mr. Arapahoe Competition because we wanna see you there! Tickets are only $5 for a priceless night, some of our very own wonderful Senior boys will compete against one another with talent, some choreographed dancing, even some formal wear and the audience will vote for the gentleman that represents Arapahoe the best. Make sure to get your tickets next week during lunch, and bring posters to support your friends!

Have you always wanted to use the school loud speaker?  Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day?  If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions in the Attendance Office with Mrs. Ayres.  Auditions will be held April 27, right after school.

Want to win an Apple watch?  How about a day at Waterworld with a group of friends? After Prom is almost here! Tickets will be on sale during lunch on April 29- May 1.  Tickets are $20 each and $25 at the door.  You must be a junior or a senior to attend, or be accompanied by a junior or a senior.  We still need volunteers for the event, so please tell your folks to sign up!  All links are on the website.

Hey Seniors!! You're VOTE counts!  Please take time to vote for your class song, motto and flower. These will be utilized in many special ways as we head toward end of the year ceremonies, graduation and celebrations. Log into Naviance and vote by Tuesday, April 21st or come by the voting table in the cafeteria on Friday or Monday to place your vote.  

Prom guest forms are located in the Attendance Office.  All forms are due by Tuesday, April 28th no later than 3:00 p.m.  

Hey sophomores and juniors, if you are intending to take a Social Studies AP class next year, you MUST come to one of the meetings this week.  For AP US History, Psychology, Economics, and Government - the meetings will be Tuesday and Thursday after school and during both lunches on Tuesday.  All meetings will be in the Forum.

Athletics
Congratulations to the girls’ Track and Field team for their 1st place finish at last weekend’s Grandview Invitational. Eighteen schools … loads of competition … great job, Warriors!
With a win over Cherokee Trail last week, the boys Varsity lacrosse team takes their season record to 8-2.  We hope to see all you Warrior fans TONIGHT 6:00 p.m. at LPS as the guys take on Mullen.  

Attention lacrosse fans:  Please come out to see the Varsity girls lacrosse team take on Ralston Valley High School at 5:00 p.m. today at Newton Middle School Field. We need fans in the stands! Come cheer the girls on to another victory!

Today at 4:30 on the AHS baseball field your freshman Warriors will be playing Smoky Hill.  Come on out and cheer them on.

Attention all boys interested in playing soccer next fall, there will be a short, but mandatory meeting Wednesday at 2:30 in Room C7.
