General Announcements
Congratulations to the newspaper, yearbook and lit mag students who attended the national scholastic journalism convention last week and who competed in various contests. The newspaper, the yearbook and the literary magazine all placed 4th in the Best of Show contest.

Hey sophomores and juniors, if you are intending to take a Social Studies AP class next year, you MUST come to one of the meetings this week.  For AP US History, Psychology, Economics, and Government - the meetings will be today and Thursday after school and during both lunches today.  All meetings will be in the Forum.

Seniors…. Just a reminder to check the library and bookkeeping lists around the building to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. You WILL NOT be able to pick-up your cap and gown if you have any outstanding fines.  Deadline date to return any library materials is Friday, May 8.  Deadline date to take care of any fines is Thursday, May 14.

Attention all Arapahoe students! We need all of you to open your planner and flip to Tuesday April the 28th (Pause) Nothing there? Please write, in pen, Mr. Arapahoe Competition because we wanna see you there! Tickets are only $5 for a priceless night, some of our very own wonderful Senior boys will compete against one another with talent, some choreographed dancing, even some formal wear and the audience will vote for the gentleman that represents Arapahoe the best. Make sure to get your tickets during lunch, and bring posters to support your friends!

If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions in the Attendance Office with Mrs. Ayres.  Auditions will be held April 27, right after school in the Drama Room, E15.

Want to win an Apple watch?  How about a day at Water World with a group of friends? After Prom is almost here! Tickets will be on sale during lunch on April 29- May 1.  Tickets are $20 each and $25 at the door.  You must be a junior or a senior to attend, or be accompanied by a junior or a senior.  We still need volunteers for the event, so please tell your folks to sign up!  All links are on the website.

Prom guest forms are located in the Attendance Office.  All forms are due by Tuesday, April 28th no later than 3:00 p.m.  

Reminder . . . free Alive @ 25 class Thursday April 23rd in Room W101 from 2:45 - 7:15 p.m. for Arapahoe students. If you are 15 1/2 and are interested in taking the class it is free, it is normally $39. Sign up on line at www.aliveat25.us. Any questions ask Deputy Englert.

For those students who completed the survey indicating an interest in taking Computer Science next year, please check your school email for a follow-up survey. Survey is due by May 1st. Thank you.

Athletics

Please congratulate the Varsity girls lacrosse team for their victory over Ralston Valley High School yesterday. It was a very close game, but your lady warriors came out with a win!  Great job girls!

Congratulations to the boys Swim and Dive Team for winning the Jeffco Invite this past weekend!  It was a team effort with the swim team winning 383 points and the boys diving team contributing 61 points to the Arapahoe's impressive win of the Jeff Co invite!  All four of the divers made finals, led by senior Alan LaBlang's setting of the new meet record with a score of 510.70.  Will Hornsby and Josh Rowe qualified for the State swim meet in 100 backstroke and we had a few other swimmers make A League times!! Great job boys!  This Thursday our Boys Swim and Dive Team will compete against Smoky Hill and Eaglecrest at the Arapahoe pool at 4:30 p.m.  Our senior swimmers and divers will also be recognized.  Come cheer on the team and celebrate our seniors!!  Go Warriors!

Attention all boys interested in playing soccer next fall, there will be a short, but mandatory meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in Room C7.

All boys interested in trying out for boys basketball summer teams. We will have tryouts starting next week Monday through Thursday. Teams will be made Thursday evening. If you are in a spring sport tryouts will be held at 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday please plan on attending.
