General Announcements

Student Council greatly appreciates your time and energy in running for office.  For anyone who lost an election, please consider staying involved in Student Council by becoming an Ambassador for your class.  An Ambassador of Student Council has the same duties and responsibilities as an elected officer.  For those who are interested, please see Mrs. Lee or Mr. Brandberg.

Congratulations to all students who competed at the FBLA State Conference last week in Vail.  At the conference, 17 students placed in the top five and five students qualified for the National Conference in Chicago this summer.  

Hey Senior Boys! Did you know it is required that you register with Selective Service within 30 days of your 18th birthday? Once you register, you will be eligible for programs and benefits connected to registration, such as college loans and grants, government jobs, and job training. For more information, and to register, go to www.sss.gov.

Students:  Please remember to enter your NEW Course Requests into Infinite Campus B E F O R E you turn in your registration cards. Please see you counselor with any questions.  GO Warriors!

Mr. Arapahoe Competition is tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are only $5 for a priceless night, some of our very own wonderful Senior boys will compete against one another with talent, some choreographed dancing, even some formal wear and the audience will vote for the gentleman that represents Arapahoe the best. Make sure to get your tickets today during lunch, and bring posters to support your friends!

The Muses are here!  The Muses are here!  Volume 13 of the Muse is now available, in four convenient locations around the school.  You can pick one up in the Library, the DECA store, the Language Arts office, and the Art office.  This year's Muse is the best we've ever printed. It has poetry, photography, art and fiction, all done by your fellow students. Pick up a lasting memento of your time at Arapahoe, for only $10.

Auditions for daily announcement readers will be held today right after school in the Drama Room, E15.

Come by at lunch this week, Wednesday through Friday and purchase your tickets for after prom.  They are $20 each or $25 at the door.  All the food you can eat, great entertainment and the chance to win amazing prizes!  When you buy your tickets, enter our raffle for the chance to win:  Tickets to Water World, tickets to Elitch's, Rockies tickets, Film on the Rocks passes, passes to the Denver film festival, and a pack of four to indoor go karts!  Good luck!!
Going to prom? Don't wait in long lines to pick up and buy tickets - buy them online now, and pick them up at lunches this week. The only days for cash sales will be Thursday and Friday, and you know all the procrastinators will be there. Be better, be efficient. Take care of it online and at lunch ASAP!

Prom guest forms are located in the Attendance Office.  All forms are due by tomorrow no later than 3:00 p.m.  

Attention all seniors who have taken Personal Finance class.  Applications for the $1,000 personal finance college scholarship are available in the post grad office.  Applications are due May 1st.  

Seniors…. Just a reminder to check the library and bookkeeping lists around the building to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. You WILL NOT be able to pick-up your cap and gown if you have any outstanding fines.  Deadline date to return any library materials is Friday, May 8.  Deadline date to take care of any fines is Thursday, May 14.

Do you need job experience? Or something to add to your resume? Do you have too many unscheduled hours on your schedule for next year? If you answered yes to these questions then we have a great opportunity for you. We need student workers for the DECA store for the 2015-16 school year. Students interested in working in the store can pick up an application in the Business Office. Completed applications are due Friday, May 1st. See Mrs. Grantham or Ms. Krueger if you have any questions.

Athletics

Diving Coach Jeff Smith's team captured the first ever state wide team diving championship at the Pine Creek Invitational this weekend.  With personal best performances from all of the divers: Alan LeBlang (2nd place), Caleb Ives (3rd place) and Anthony Belitz (4th place), they beat the second place Regis by a 2-1 margin!  Go Divers!

Attention All Lacrosse Fans:  Please congratulate your lady warriors as they cruised to another victory Friday night over Eaglecrest High School with a 20-1 Win!  Your Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team has a VERY BUSY schedule this week. They are ready to take on their next opponent, Overland High School, today at 4:30 pm at Overland. Please come to cheer them on for another W! They like the stands packed with as many fans as possible! 

Congratulations to the freshman baseball team for their 12-4 win over Eaglecrest this past Saturday.  They play Overland today at 4:30 on the AHS baseball field.  Come on out and cheer them on.

The winning streak continues for the JV girls lacrosse Black team.  They won their match against Chatfield on Friday with a score of 11-10.  The next home game is tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. against Mullen.  Go Warriors!

Tonight is Senior Night for the boys varsity lacrosse team!  Come on out to LPS and root on the guys as they take on Eaglecrest.  All of our SENIORS will be honored on the field at half time.

Attention all girls that are interested in playing softball in the fall. There will be a mandatory Booster Club Meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. in Room E9. We would like players and at least one parent to attend. See Coach Krueger if you have any questions.

All students that would like to audition for the 2015-2016 Arapahoe Toms should plan on attending the Pre-Audition Meeting at Arapahoe High School on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:00 pm in the forum. Auditions are May 4th-7th at Arapahoe High School.
