General Announcements
Congratulations to the Arapahoe Winter Guard for their 2nd place finish in the Scholastic Open Class division this past Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association State Championships!  This marks the 11th consecutive year for the Winter Guard to be a State Finalist and medalist!  Way to go ladies!  A-Team Hut!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Winter Percussion Ensemble for their 3rd place finish this past Saturday at the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association State Championships!  The Winter Percussion Ensemble had an incredibly successful season and were able to secure bronze medals in an incredibly competitive Scholastic World Class division.  Nice job everyone!!!

Tickets for Bye Bye Birdie will be on sale at lunch starting today. Tickets are $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. They are already selling fast so be sure to get them before the show nights!

There is a National Business Honor Society meeting today after school in Room E9.  Be sure to show up to pick up an officer application and learn about the upcoming business banquet.  

Hey Warriors!! Mr. Arapahoe is quickly approaching, and you have a chance to be involved in the first Mr. Arapahoe as an MC.  We are looking for any Juniors or Seniors with lots of school spirit. If you are interested just swing by the business office, or activities office to pick up an application. The applications are due April 8.

Hey Seniors, you've got the opportunity to speak at your graduation!  In order to try out, you must stop by the window outside Mrs. Debow's office next to the Post Grad center by Friday, April 10 to sign up and receive an informational sheet.

Attention Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen: Are you interested in taking a computer programming course next year? If so, please complete the survey that you'll find in your school email as soon as possible (deadline is Monday, April 13th). If we have enough interest in the course, we'll offer it, so make sure you complete the survey if you're interested.

The Muse staff and faculty sponsors would like to thank everyone who submitted their fine work to us this year, and we would like to extend our congratulations to all the artists and writers whose work was accepted into Volume 13 of the Muse magazine.  Save the date:  we will celebrate those creative students this Thursday, April 9th, at our annual Muse Showcase in the Forum.  The showcase will start at 7:00, but come early as snacks will be served beforehand, and there will be music too!  See you Thursday!   

Auditions for the 2015 - 2016 AHS choirs will be held April 20-24. Please see Ms. Parmenter in the Choir Room for details and to sign up for an audition time. We are also looking for piano accompanists for next year.

Athletics

Let’s hear it for the Varsity boys and girls track and field teams – Littleton’s reigning champs!  They ran all over the competition at Friday’s City of Littleton meet, set two meet records, and secured bragging rights for the year ahead.  Special kudos to junior Julia Hall – named girls’ MVP for the second year in a row.

Congratulations to the ABK girls Varsity soccer team in their 3-0 win over Highlands Ranch on Saturday.  Dani Babb had two goals and Izzy Benasso had one in the game.  The defense remains strong with not one goal allowed this season as their record climbs to 6-0-1. Come out and support the team in their first conference game against Grandview tomorrow at 4:30 at the AHS soccer field. Should be a great game and we look forward to seeing you there!

The JV girls lacrosse Black team did it again! The Chaparral Wolverines were handed their first loss on Saturday with a score of 15-5.  What an outstanding game to go along with our awesome coaching and teamwork!

ABK girls JV soccer team lost 2-3 over Highlands Ranch on Saturday.  Emily McDonald scored the first goal of the game -shooting a penalty kick and Ashlyn Baird scored late in the second half.   Come out and support the team against Grandview tomorrow at 4:30 at the AHS soccer field. Should be a great game and we look forward to seeing you there!

The freshman baseball team won Saturday 3-0 over the Heritage Eagles.  Way to go Warriors!
