General Announcements

Tickets are selling fast for Bye Bye Birdie, be sure to get your tickets at lunch. They are $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. The show runs April 16th-18th and starts at 7:00 p.m.

Hey Warriors!! Mr. Arapahoe is quickly approaching, and you have a chance to be involved in the first Mr. Arapahoe as an MC.  We are looking for any Juniors or Seniors with lots of school spirit. If you are interested just swing by the business office, or activities office to pick up an application. The applications are due today.

The Muse staff and faculty sponsors would like to thank everyone who submitted their fine work to us this year, and we would like to extend our congratulations to all the artists and writers whose work was accepted into Volume 13 of the Muse magazine.  Save the date:  we will celebrate those creative students tomorrow at our annual Muse Showcase in the Forum.  The showcase will start at 7:00, but come early as snacks will be served beforehand, and there will be music too!  See you tomorrow!   

Hey Seniors, you've got the opportunity to speak at your graduation!  In order to try out, you must stop by the window outside Mrs. Debow's office next to the Post Grad center by this Friday to sign up and receive an informational sheet.

Juniors and Seniors:  It’s time to vote for your 2015 prom royalty. Your classmates were nominated by the staff of AHS this year, so don’t miss your chance to have your voice heard. Log in to your Naviance account, click the “About Me” tab, and the survey is up under “Surveys to Take” on the left side of the screen. Royalty voting has started and ends on Tuesday the 14th.

Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen: Are you interested in taking a computer programming course next year? If so, please complete the survey that you'll find in your school email as soon as possible (deadline is Monday, April 13th). If we have enough interest in the course, we'll offer it, so make sure you complete the survey if you're interested.

Attention freshmen!  Hearing and vision testing is taking place next week from Monday, April 13th to Thursday, April 16th.  You will be tested during your English class.  Please be sure to wear and/or bring your glasses or contacts to school next week.  Thank you!

All students interested in taking Honors American Literature, Advanced Placement Language, or Advanced Placement Literature should attend an informational meeting at 6:45 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th in Room E9.  This includes those students currently in the A.P. or Honors track.  Please see your Language Arts' teachers with questions.

Auditions for the 2015 - 2016 AHS Choirs will be held April 20 - 24. Please see Ms. Parmenter in the Choir Room for details and to sign up for an audition time. We are also looking for piano accompanists for next year.

Athletics

Congratulations to the JV girls tennis team for defeating Eaglecrest 14-0.  Come over to Cherry Creek on Thursday and watch them beat Creek. Matches start at 3:30.  Great job Varsity girls tennis sweeping Eaglecrest with a 7-0 victory. The team plays Cherry Creek on Thursday. Stop by and support the team over at Creek!!
Way to go JV Gold!  The Arapahoe girls lacrosse JV Gold had an awesome, nail biting tie with Cherry Creek yesterday.  Come cheer them on today at Newton at 4:30 as they play against Strive Prep.  Go JV Gold Warriors!

We need YOU, lacrosse fans!  At 7:00 TONIGHT at LPS the boys Varsity Lacrosse team takes on fifth ranked Kent.  See you there!

Hey Warriors! The Spear will broadcast the boys lacrosse game against Kent Denver tonight at 7:00 p.m. The link to the Spear can be found on the Arapahoe homepage.

Attention lacrosse fans:  Please come out Friday at 6:00 p.m. to LPS Stadium to watch the Varsity girls' lacrosse team take on Smoky Hill High School!  The Varsity team wants and needs your support to continue their awesome season with their incredible record of 5 and 0! They beat Chaparral High School last Saturday 15-7! Come cheer them on to another victory! Go girls LAX!!!!!!   Please note, the Overland game previously scheduled for today has been postponed to another time, to be determined.
