*AHS has some amazing vocal and instrumental performers! Do you have a lesser known talent you could share? We will be hosting a final round of Tryouts next Tuesday morning and YOU should sign up! See the flyers around school for sign up instructions. Come be a star!
*The latest edition of The Herald magazine came out today. Get your copy from your 2nd period teacher, or look for copies in the cafeteria newsstands and in the library.
*Junior and seniors! On Tuesday, AHS will host the University of Denver and Stephen's College. Sign up in Naviance 24 hours prior to the visit!
*Classified Staff Appreciation Week is coming to an end, but it doesn't mean we are any less grateful for the behind the scenes work these individuals commit to AHS on a daily basis. Thank you for being awesome and we celebrate you each day!
*Hey Warriors! We still have a few spots remaining in the DECA Dodgeball tournament. Get those registration packets turned in ASAP. You don't want to miss out on this fun event.
*In Speech and Debate news, the team is attending its first novice tournament of the season tomorrow, at Cherry Creek High School. Please wish a hearty 'Good luck!' to our Speech and Debate Team.
*Seniors! Financial Aid Information Night is Monday, October 14th, 6:30 PM in the Theater. We will have a representative from a local University's Office of Financial Aid, presenting on several topics, including Freshmen Award offers, FAFSA, Scholarships, and more. Please plan to attend, and bring a parent or guardian.
*Seniors! Do you have a November 1st college application deadline? If so, blue forms are due to Mrs. Arnold in the Main Office by the end of the day on Oct. 14th.
*Hey Warriors! The 3rd Annual AHS Fall Charity Car Show is returning on Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00 AM - Noon. The show will take place in the East Parking Lot off of University and donations will go towards our Toys for Tots! Call up your family members and bring all your friends! You don’t want to miss these sweet rides!
*Invitations to apply to NHS have been mailed out. Mandatory meetings for new members were Monday and Tuesday. If you think you are eligible, but have not received a letter in the mail, please email or check with Ms. Bownds, Ms. Nolan, or Mr. Sexson by this Friday, October 11th.
*Juniors and Seniors - If you missed the 2020 Washington DC meeting and you are still interested in attending please see Ms. Winn in Social Studies to get more information and to pre-enroll.
*Students: If you have borrowed a Chromebook or power cord from the Library please remember to return them ASAP.
*Have you lost a shirt, a jacket, a lunch bag or a towel? Please check the lost and found table in the cafeteria to claim your items.
Athletics
*Your Football Warriors fought hard in a tough game and frigid temperatures against Cherry Creek. They lost 7-24 but be proud as they never gave up the fight. JV game is tomorrow at Stutler Bowl at 5:30 PM.
*Your Arapahoe Boys Varsity and JV Soccer teams travel to take on Mullen today at 4:30 for their rescheduled matches from yesterday. Take the Friday afternoon trip to cheer them on!
*Our Field Hockey Warriors travel to Colorado Springs tomorrow to face Cheyenne Mountain. Varsity is at 11:00 AM and JV is at 12:30 PM. Sko Warriors!
