General Announcements

*Warriors! If you'd like to bring a guest to this year's Road Trip-Themed Homecoming Dance, please pick up a guest form from the activities office or front office. You can also print and download one from the AHS homepage and activities page. Return completed forms to the Activities office as well. Forms are due on October 27th. 

*The first TSA meeting is today after school @ 3:35 PM in the Woods Classroom, E1284. TSA is for students who want to take their interest in STEM, Technology, and Engineering one step further. Come and find out more about this exciting opportunity!

*9th & 10th Graders Finish your Language Arts and Math MAP Tests in the Library this week from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

*Juniors, register now to take the PSAT. Registration closes October 9. Please see Ms. Vail in the counseling department. Cost is $20 -cash or check only. The test is on Wednesday, October 16th.

*PSAT Math prep sessions will be held on Monday, October 7th and Thursday, October 10th from 7:30 to 8:15 AM in room S1423. The English prep sessions will be on Tuesday, October 8th and Friday, October 11th in the tiered classroom E1287. Don’t miss out!

*Seniors!! Financial Aid Information Night is Monday October 14th, 6:30 PM in the Theater. We will have a representative from a local University's Office of Financial Aid, presenting on several topics, including Freshmen Award offers, FAFSA, Scholarships, and more. Please plan to attend, and bring a parent or guardian.

*On Thursday, AHS will host the University of Illinois, Virginia Tech, Texas Christian, Western Washington, Azusa Pacific, Westmont College, Oklahoma State, University of Wyoming, Boston University, the University of Alabama, Boston College, Montana State, San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, Creighton, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Scripps, UC Irvine, Macalester College, Northeastern, and Wake Forest. Sign up in Naviance if you are attending.

*Hey Warriors, do you love Dodgeball? If so, it's time to register for one of the most exciting events of the year. The Annual DECA Dodgeball tournament is just around the corner. This year's theme is DECA World Cup. So gather 5 boys and 5 girls and choose a country to represent. Registration packets can be picked up starting this Friday in the Business Department. Only the first 20 teams to register will make it into the tournament. 

*Attention All Juniors and Seniors: The 2020 trip to Washington DC is here again!  This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington DC and Capitol Hill first hand.  If you are interested in learning more please come to a mandatory student/parent interest meeting on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00 PM in the tiered classroom.  Please see Ms. Winn in the social studies department if you are not able to attend.

*The 2019-2020 Wrestling Season is quickly approaching. If your son or daughter is thinking about competing this season, please attend our Parent Meeting on October 9 in the AHS Forum at 6:07 PM.
