General Announcements

*Warriors! If you'd like to bring a guest to this year's Road Trip-Themed Homecoming Dance, please pick up a guest form from the activities office or front office. You can also print and download one from the AHS homepage and activities page. Return completed forms to the Activities office. Forms are due on October 27th. 

*9th & 10th Graders Finish your Language Arts and Math MAP Tests in the Library this week from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM.

*Juniors, register now to take the PSAT. Registration closes October 9. Please see Ms. Vail in the counseling department. Cost is $20 -cash or check only. The test is on Wednesday, October 16th.

*PSAT Math prep sessions will be held on Monday, October 7th and Thursday, October 10th from 7:30 to 8:15 AM in room S1423. The English prep sessions will be on Tuesday, October 8th and Friday, October 11th in the tiered classroom E1287. Don’t miss out!

*Seniors!! Financial Aid Information Night is Monday October 14th, 6:30 PM in the Theater. We will have a representative from a local University's Office of Financial Aid, presenting on several topics, including Freshmen Award offers, FAFSA, Scholarships, and more. Please plan to attend, and bring a parent or guardian.

*Juniors and Seniors! On Friday, AHS will host Boise State, Clemson, DePaul, Rollins, College of Wooster, Willamette, Villanova, Syracuse, USC, Whitworth, Iowa State, Portland State, University of Utah, and the University of Tampa.  Several colleges are also visiting next week. Please reserve your spot in Naviance 24 hours prior to the visit.

*The College Fairs of Greater Denver will take place at Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch on Saturday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. This is a great way to start learning about colleges across the country. Students, parents, and guardians are encouraged to attend!

*Hey Warriors, do you love Dodgeball? If so, it's time to register for one of the most exciting events of the year. The Annual DECA Dodgeball tournament is just around the corner. This year's theme is DECA World Cup. So gather 5 boys and 5 girls and choose a country to represent. Registration packets can be picked up starting this Friday in the Business Department. Only the first 20 teams to register will make it into the tournament. 

*Attention All Juniors and Seniors: The 2020 trip to Washington DC is here again!  This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington DC and Capitol Hill first hand.  If you are interested in learning more please come to a mandatory student/parent interest meeting on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:00 PM in the tiered classroom.  Please see Ms. Winn in the social studies department if you are not able to attend.  

Athletics

*The 2019-2020 Wrestling Season is quickly approaching. If your son or daughter is thinking about competing this season, please attend our Parent Meeting on October 9 in the AHS Forum at 6:07 PM. 

*Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team for their big win against Cherokee Trail yesterday. Your Warriors defeated CT 5 to 2. Last night's win allowed the Lady Warriors to clinch the Centennial League Championship for the first time in school history. The team has 3 more regular season games before playoffs. These girls have worked very hard for this accomplishment. We are very proud of you. Good Luck in the rest of the season. 

*Good luck to the Lady Warriors VB Team tonight at home versus Eaglecrest! Sophomores at 4:30 PM, JV at 5:00 PM, Freshmen at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 6:30 PM. Go Warriors!

*Your Arapahoe Boys Varsity Soccer Team travels to take on Smoky Hill today for a 4:30 PM match. The Arapahoe JV will travel to play Smoky Hill’s JV at 5:00 PM at nearby Laredo Middle School – make the trip to cheer them on!
