*Start packing your bags Warriors! We are going on a Road Trip. Our Road Trip HOCO starts next week. Pack for the beach, a day on the mountain, a stop at Halloween Town, flashy shoes for the dance and a few more pit stops along the way. Mark your calendars and join your friends at the Talent Show on October 28th and the FIRST EVER Girls PowderPuff Football Game on Wednesday, Oct. 30th. This is a must see and we will top that night off with a fireworks show. YES, Fireworks! Pack your bags with warm clothes and extra blankets to view the fireworks from the Turf Field on October 30th. Dance tickets will be on sale next week for $15.00. Come along for the Riiiiide!
*Hey Warriors! We have one spot remaining in this year's DECA Dodgeball tournament. If you would like to participate, pick up a registration packet in the Business Office.
*There is an FBLA meeting today in the forum after school. Come to get updates on competitive events, turn in your FBLA paperwork and sign up for trick or treat street.
*Please return to the Library your daily check out Chromebooks and Lenovo power cords within 24-hours of check out.
*Juniors and Seniors - If you are planning on going on the 2020 Washington DC trip you must get pre-enrolled by this Thursday. Come see Ms. Winn in the social studies office to do so.
*Come one, come all! The Fall Play Peter and the Starcatcher, a wildly theatrical story about Peter Pan and his friends, premieres this week in the AHS Theatre at 7PM this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Tickets are $8 online or at the door. This is one you won't want to miss!
*Warriors, if you want to bring a guest from another school to this year's homecoming dance, please stop by the attendance and activities office to pick up a guest form. Any AHS student can bring a guest. Tickets go on sale next week, so make sure to get your guest form in soon!
*Hey Warriors! Let’s overflow the food boxes for Field Elementary! Please bring non-perishables for collection through Friday, November 1st. Boxes are at all the entrances. Cash donations for the drive will be accepted at the school play on opening night and at the Homecoming football game.
Athletics
*Our Field Hockey Warriors face Regis this afternoon in the quarterfinal state playoff game! Game time is 4:00 PM at Regis’ stadium. Let’s fill the stands with Warrior fans and cheers!
*Hey Warriors, your Lady Warrior Softball team is competing in the State Softball for the first time in school history. The first game is on Friday at 12:15 pm at Aurora Sports Park. We need lots of fans so come out and support the team.
*Your Varsity Boys Soccer team lost in overtime last night to Cherry Creek 1-0. The JV squad won their final game of the season against Cherry Creek 1-0.
*Warrior Varsity Volleyball lost in four games against Creek. JV lost a tough one as well. Frosh and Soph lost in two. All teams in back in action this Thursday at home v. Smoky Hill. Sophomores at 4:30 PM, JV at 5:00 PM, Frosh at 5:30 PM, and Varsity at 6:30 PM. Go Warriors!
*Your LPS Girls Gymnastics Team competes in Varsity Leagues this evening & JV Leagues tomorrow evening! Both Meets are at Elizabeth High School with some challenging competition. Wish them luck as they secure their seed for Regionals! You've got this Warrior Gymnasts!!!
