General Announcements

If you attended Alive at 25 classes anytime last year, you need to pick up your certificate in the Attendance Office.  Most insurance companies will offer a discount for drivers with this certificate.

   Tickets for the Arapahoe vs. Heritage football game will be on sale during the lunch hours on Wednesday and Thursday in the cafeteria.  Tickets for students will be $3.00 and for adults $5.00.

There will be a freshman class meeting on Monday, September 19th in the forum at 2:25 p.m.  We will be discussing ideas for activities and designs for our homecoming float.  CANDY WILL BE PROVIDED!!  Also, we will need volunteers for decorating our float.
We need your ideas and opinions so please attend this meeting and make this the best freshman class ever!!

Hey everybody!  The next CSJC, or Community Service Just ’Cause meeting is going to be this Thursday right after school in room C-19.  It will be a short meeting because of everyone’s after school activities.  Hope to see you there!

  Hey all you seniors!  The first WWW, Wild Warrior Women, meeting will be held today in N-6 right after school.  We will be discussing homecoming and other fun events.  Hope to see you there!

Attention NHS members! The first meeting of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, at 2:30 pm in room E9 (The Tiered Classroom). All members should plan to be there!!!

SHARING STUDENT INFORMATION WITH MILITARY RECRUITING OFFICERS
Each fall, military recruiting officers request information from Littleton Public Schools of all 11th and 12th grade students for recruiting purposes.  Students and/or parents have the right to request that their information be withheld from release to the military.  If you DO NOT wish to have this information released to the military, please drop by the guidance office and complete the military opt-out form and return it to the guidance office.

Attention all Habitat for Humanity members, we will have a meeting in room C-13 on Wednesday, September 14 after school to discuss and sign up for upcoming events. Hope to see you there!

Attention ALL WARRIORS...Link Crew is sponsoring an ALL SCHOOL Tailgate party this Friday in the West Parking Lot.  Food is 3 dollars and we will have games, face paint and entertainment to get you psyched for the Arapahoe/Heritage Football game.  Show up at 4:00 p.m.  to eat, play and cheer on the players as they leave for the game.  Busses will be available for FRESHMAN ONLY, and everyone will be responsible for their own rides home from LPS stadium.  Hope to see you there!!!
 
Attention everyone interested in the Muse, Arapahoe’s magazine for the creative arts:  We are still accepting applications for Fiction editor and committees.  Our new deadline is Wednesday of this week by 3:00—that’s Wednesday the 14th.  If you are interested in a leadership opportunity, stop by Mr. Miles’ desk in the Language arts office to pick up an application.  Our next meeting has been moved to Wednesday the 21st, next week.  Mark your calendars!  See you there!  

Students, there is still room available in the Drivers Education class that begins on September 19th at AHS.  If you re interested pick up information in the main office.  

College reps will be visiting Arapahoe this week:
Today: Wyoming Tech at 10:00; Knox College at 11:30.
Thursday: Hope College, Michigan at 8:00.
Interested students please sign up in the Guidance Center.

Bowlers everywhere please be aware!
The first bowling meeting has been moved up to the 14th (instead of the 28th). Whether you have signed up at the Club CafĂ© or not, come and join us each Wednesday at the AMF Littleton Lanes at 2:45pm.  For any other questions please contact Club Sponsor, Dr. Godwin (x6055). Thanks.

Athletics

The boys Varsity tennis team lost last night to Heritage by a score of 1-6.  Winning for the varsity was Eric Anderssen.  The JV team lost by a score of 4-7.  Winning for the JV were Matt Shaw and Roy Teng; Doug Bui and Matt Fons; Jeff Gunnell and Alex Stinson;  Blake Besancon and Mitch Reagan.  Come out today to see your Warriors go up against Ponderosa.
This is a reminder that the JV team will start their split practices tomorrow.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Brayton.

Attention all Culture Club members we are kicking off our Annual Paper Cranes Donation charity work for the Make a Wish Foundation.  We will be having a crash course in Origami and plenty of great food at the meeting.  This is the last chance to pay your fifteen dollars for your club T-shirt.  The meeting will be held Thursday September 15th in room C-20.
