General Announcements

Tickets for "The Sound of Music" will be sold during lunch next to the Guidance office all this week. Don't miss it!

Seniors: The scholarship you have been waiting for and asking about is NOW available. The JEM scholarship application is available in the Post Grad Center. Return completed application to Mrs. Brady in the Guidance Center by deadline date of Friday, May 5, 2006.

Come Audition for the 2006/2007 Arapahoe Colorguard. We are an award winning and very competitive team that has a fun family-like atmosphere! Through dancing, acting, and spinning flags, rifles, and sabres, we entertain our audiences creating and maintaining an Arapahoe tradition of excellence! Colorguard is a year round activity. In 2005 we were State Champions in Winterguard and in this past winter season we were State Champion Runner-ups!!!! Tues the 25th 6:30-8:30 CG Camp in the Main Gym, $25 registration fee

Seniors! Seniors! Seniors! You finally get your chance to all appear in the school newspaper, Arapahoe Herald. This week in your social studies classes your teachers will be passing out a survey and if you want your data to appear in the May issue, fill out the survey and return it to room E8 by April 18th. If you don’t get a copy come down to room E8 and pick one up.

Congratulations to our talented mathematicians!! Four AHS students earned a perfect score on yesterday's Colorado Math League Competition. Please recognize: Matt Evans, Paul Komatz, Mallory Pasque and Spencer Zepelin. Great job Arapahoe!!

Today is the deadline! If you wish to be considered for one of the publications staffs, Yearbook, Newspaper or DVD, applications must be turned in today. Drop them off in E8.

FBLA members. It's time to plan our end of the year activities. Come to our next meeting Monday after school in S1. Hope to see you there!

An admissions representative from Baker University, Kansas will be at AHS to meet with interested students on Monday, April 17, at 8:00 am. Sign up in the Guidance Center.

Are you interested in a career in Sports Medicine? Does helping athletes, rehabbing injuries, physical therapy and injury prevention intrigue you? If so, take Sports Medicine class. Registration is through interview only. Sign-up for an interview with Mrs. Bradley in the Physical Education department for the Fall or Spring semester next year.

Hey Arapahoe. Have you taken a lot of business classes? If so, you may be eligible for a Business Certificate of Proficency. Certificates are awarded for Accounting, Computers, Management and Marketing. Pick up an application in the business office. Applications are due Thursday, April 20th. See a business teacher if you have any questions

Athletics

On Monday of this week, the girl’s varsity tennis team lost a close match to Regis by a score of 3-4. Winning for the Warriors were: Molly Ray; Suzanne Chang; Annie Lorenzo and Jenny Morris. On Tuesday of this week the girl’s varsity tennis team beat Rangeview by a score of 7-0. Winning for the Warriors were: Molly Ray; Lauren Craig; Suzanne Chang; Jenna Dornseif and Celeste Lorenzo; Leisha Bryant and Lauren Stemper; Katie Maxey and Laine Pacetti; Annie Lorenzo and Jenny Morris. Come over to Heritage today to see your Lady Warrior Tennis team battle the Eagles.

Congratulations to the girls JV golf team on their 3rd place finish in the tournament on Tuesday. The team was led by Karla Kirby with a high score of 47. Anny Lim, Michelle Gutknecht and Carrie Barker also contributed to the teams success.

The girls Varsity also did a great job in the league tournament on Tuesday. Leslie McGetrick led the team with a score of 89 and Megan Ray and Larissa Hennemann both had low scores in the 90's. Way to go Ladies!!
