General Announcements

Congratulations to Jazz I and The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs for scoring all superior ratings at Friday's Mile High Jazz Festival! Also, congratulations to Jazz II for achieving a high excellent rating at the festival. The following students received Outstanding Musicianship Awards at Friday's Jazz Festival: Josh Garties, Paris Spinelli, Marshall Tugman, Matt Darling, Justin Rodrigues, David Culp, Jeff Henton (2 awards), Colton Crandell (2 awards), Wes Leffingwell (2 awards), Steve Berres, Will Gamache, Alex James, Jeff Henton, Dave Ellis, Billy Norris, Melanie Brown, and Sean Case. Way to go Jazz Musicians!!

Congratulations to the Winter Guard for placing first at Saturday's Dakota Ridge Competition! Arapahoe scored an 80.9, over 6 points higher than 2nd place Arvada!! Way to go ladies!!!

Congratulations to all members of the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band for advancing to the State Concert Band Festival to be held at the Colorado Springs' Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts on April 24th! Only 18 bands across the state were selected for this honor, and Arapahoe was one of only 3 band programs where two or more bands were selected to go on to the state festival!! Congratulations to all of you band musicians for this great honor!!!

Athletics

Attention girl’s soccer players. Tryouts for the Junior Varsity and Fresh/Soph squads will continue today at 2:45 on the soccer fields.

The JV Boys Lacrosse team had another win last Saturday against Mountain Vista, 6 to 5. Matt Huner had 2 goals, and one each for Josh Cook, Blake Besancon, Chris Conrad, and Hunter Hall. Defense stayed strong with Jake Fields protecting the goal.

Student Initiated Groups-

Hey amnesty kids! We're having a meeting on Tuesday in N6...with snacks and everything. We have a few more fun things to do this year, so get ready for amnesty! Like it's 1997.

Hey Habitat for Humanity members, we have a meeting in C18 after school on Wednesday, March 14th.

The Remember Club asks you to buckle up and take care of one another.
