General Announcements

ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS!!! The 3rd Annual "Art Attack" and the Southglen Library Art Contest are fast approaching. Check the posters in the hall to see the categories that you may enter artwork. Best of Show is given in each category with cash prizes. This is our end of the year "show of shows"! Time and space is limited so get your entries in NOW!!!! If you have questions, see the Art Department.

Seniors: Need college money? Stop in the Post Grad Center for help finding and applying for scholarships.

Athletics

ATTENTION GUY CHEERS: Please make sure you have returned your permission slip, waiver and check for your t-shirt to Mrs. Scoglio in the main office no later than Friday, March 23rd. You will not be able to participate if they are not turned in.

The boys Varsity1 Lacrosse team will take on Heritage today, March 16th at 7:30 pm at DU Stadium. Admission prices will be $2 for students with an AHS student ID or $3 for students with no AHS student ID. Adult admission will be $5. Go Warriors! Please park in Lot 103 which is located west on Bucktail.

The JV Girl’s lacrosse team are starting the season off with some great performances. They beat Cherry Creek 10-8 last Saturday. WOW!!! Scoring for the lady warriors were Alee Day; 4 Goals 1 Assist, Aubrey Pullara; 3 Goals, Katherine Igoe; 2 Goals 1 Assist and Kelsey Gibbons; 1 Goal. What an awesome feat, beating Creek!!! Congratulations also on the 11-1 win over St. Mary's Academy last night. Scoring in that game were: Alee Day; 1 Goal 3 Assists, Leanne Cheung; 2 Goals, Shelli Marr; 1 Goal 1 Assist, Brittney Walker; 1 Goal, Katie Gunning; 2 Goals, Katherine Igoe; 2 Goals, and Anneliese Clark 1 Goal. Keep up the great work ladies and good luck today against Air Academy.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls' Lax Team in their win 11-10 win against Colorado Academy on Tuesday and their 12-3 win against St. Mary's on Thursday. Good luck today in your game against Air Academy!

Arapahoe Warriors boys swim team won their meet against Douglas County yesterday with a score of 131-55. State qualifiers included swimmer Ian Francis and diver Eric Wallace. Event winners included: Ian Francis, Dave Wise, Kieran McGuire and Andrew Gibbs. The Warriors are hosting Arapahoe relays this Saturday at noon with diving beginning at 8:30am.

GIRLS GOLF RULES! Congrats to the Varsity girls golf team for placing 1st in the first league tournament of the season. Leslie McGetrick, Sarah Moore, Hannah Gushurst, Jenna Hennemann and Larissa Hennemann all contributed with low scores to help lead their team to victory.

Student Initiated Groups-

Hey ADR members, we have another very important meeting this Monday after school in room W104!! It will be quick and there will be snacks! We are tightening up our presentation so it is important that everyone tries to make it! Hope to see you all there!
