General Announcements

Congratulations to all members of the Winter Percussion Ensemble for making Arapahoe School History on Saturday, by scoring a season high 91 points, and being named State Champions in the prestigious World Scholastic Concert Class!! This is a first ever for Arapahoe HS - way to go Winter Percussion Ensemble!!!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Speech and Debate team who competed extremely well in the National qualifying tournament this weekend. Liana Boras qualified for the national tournament and will join Will Hea at the tournament this summer in Las Vegas. Shamita Punjabi and Jaclyn Arnold also competed in finals rounds. Great job!

Attention all students interested in running for Student Council class office and executive office positions. You must attend the intent to run meeting tomorrow in the Forum at 7am. Active student council members and officers are eligible to run for office positions. If you are unable to attend please see Mr. Holman.

SENIORS: The JEM Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship exclusively for Arapahoe Students. The application is now available in the Guidance Center. If you have any questions about this special opportunity, please see your counselor.

ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS: If you are interested in taking college classes while still enrolled in high school, you must attend an informational meeting on Friday, April 18th during your lunch period in the Forum. See your counselor for details!

Attention future AP science students: You will need to fill out an application form by Wednesday April 16th if you are planning on taking any Advanced Placement courses next year. The blue forms are in the science office by the phone.

Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day? If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions in the Attendance Office.

Attention junior NHS members: If you are interested in being an NHS officer next year, please sign the intent-to-run list on Ms. Gaffney’s desk in the Language Arts office. You will speak about your qualifications at the next meeting on April 23.

"TSA Alert....TSA state competition is only 2 weeks away. How are your projects coming? There will be a brief TSA meeting to finalize competition plans Wednesday, April 16, after school at 2:25 for all TSA students attending the State conference.

It’s that time of year again! Warriors all over the school are planning their classes and schedule for next year. If you have a question or need any help with what to take or when to take it, feel free to stop by the Guidance table in the cafeteria during lunch and speak with a counselor! They will be there to help answer your questions all week!

Attention all female upperclassmen: AHS is offering a one night self defense workshop on April 22nd from 7-9pm at the high school. This is free to all who sign up but space is limited. You can sign up with a partner during both lunches starting on Wednesday April, 16th.

Athletics

The girl’s varsity tennis team took 3rd place on Saturday at the Phil Krous Invitational tennis tournament. Taking 1st place was the #1 doubles team of Molly Ray and Lauren Stemper and #3 doubles Lara McDougald and Teresa Yeh. Congratulations to all the girls.
