General Announcements

Congratulations to the following students for being selected to the 2009 Warrior Marching Band’s Leadership Team: Flute – Emily Haller & Squad Leader, Tom Roberts; Clarinet - Phillip Strom & Squad Leader, Phoebe Flynn; Saxophone – Denae Hill; Trumpet and Mellophone – Sarah Cheney; Low Brass – Jordan Krantz; Battery Percussion – Kevin Matthews & Squad Leader, Cameron Brown; Pit Percussion – Jake Mirow; Color Guard – Krissy Cloyes & Sarah Churchill. Congratulations to all of you!

Congratulations to all members of the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble who performed at yesterday’s CHSAA Large Group Music Festival. All 3 bands achieved unanimous superior ratings in performance and sight reading! The Wind Ensemble received 2 perfect scores from the judges!! Way to go band musicians!!

“Damn Yankees” the Musical is coming soon. Tickets are on sale in the lunchroom daily. Don’t miss the biggest entertainment event of the year…it has romance, drama, comedy, singing and dancing. The performance dates are April 15-18.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who will lead our school next year? Who can take a role as a student council officer? Will it be you? Come to the forum on Monday, April 13th at 2:30 to find out more during our intent-to-run meeting.

A reminder to TSA members, we will meet on Monday, April 13 in E10 at 2:25 p.m. for a quick meeting.

Spanish Club will be going to see the play Bless Me Ultima on Thursday April 23rd at 7 p.m. The play is performed by Su Teatro in Denver and is based off Rudolfo Anaya’s award winning Chicano Literature book. Tickets are $12 per person. If you wish to attend please see Ms. DiSepio by Wednesday, April 15th. Don’t forget Spanish club meets every Wednesday after school in room C-21 at 2:30. New members are always welcomed!

Attention All Juniors!
Registration for the State ACT is coming on April 13th. Please bring a number 2 pencil to your Western Civilization class so that we can pre-register you for the State ACT on April 22nd. If you do not have a Western Civilization class, please make an appointment with your counselor ASAP.

Hey Arapahoe! Do you have talent? Well, sign up to audition for the Prom Talent Show! Auditions will be held on Monday, April 13th and Tuesday, April 14th. Sign up in the main office and see Mrs. Davis in the English office or Mrs. Melin in the Foreign Language office with questions. Show us your talent!

Hey Warriors! Would you like to see a teacher get a pie in the face thrown by a student? Well, the time has come to donate money to select a group of teachers who could have this fate at the Spring Assembly on April 24. Look for the table in the cafeteria April 13th – 23rd in order to donate money. Tickets are 50 cents for 1, or 3 for $1.00. The lucky student’s name will be chosen from this raffle. Don’t forget to donate!

Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team who beat Grandview yesterday by a score of 5 to 3. Way to go Warriors!

Good luck to the Freshmen Boy’s lacrosse team participating in the Mt. Vista tournament on Saturday, April 11. Go Warriors!

The JV Gold Boys Lacrosse team CRUSHED the Golden Senior High last night in a big
15-3 Win!! Top Scorers for the team were Mike Schmidt and Quinn Booth, with 3 goals each, other scorers for the game were Cody Kotelko, Nick Prudhomme, Chris Youngblade , Dan Hatstat, Alex Knopf, Dan Mercier, and Andy Ronald. Way to go Warriors!!
Come on out and cheer on this winning Gold team Saturday at 11:00 at the Powell fields as they take on Regis Jesuit High School!

The Girl’s Varsity Tennis team defeated Eaglecrest yesterday by a score of 7-0 and improved their record to 5 wins and 2 losses. Tomorrow, your tennis team will compete in the Phil Krous Invitational hosted by East High School. Good luck girls!

Congratulations to the JV Gold Girls Tennis team for going 12-0 this week. That brings our overall record to 41wins and 3 losses. Great Job Girls!

Attention Soccer Fans: The varsity girls’ soccer team would like to invite you to cheer us on as we take on Cherry Creek tonight at 7:00pm at Littleton Public Schools stadium. GO ABK!!!

The Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse team will go up against Eaglecrest tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Legacy Stadium. Come root for your Warriors!
