General Announcements

Congratulations to all of the “Art Attack” and Southglenn Library winners! Ribbons are hanging on the artwork that was selected for “Art Attack” and the Southglenn Library winners are posted in the art department and the Theater hallway.

The cast, crew and pit orchestra would like to thank you for your support! Damn Yankees, The Musical is sold out on Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are still available for tonight’s performance, and will be sold during both lunches in the cafeteria.

Hey Arapahoe! Do you want to see some awesome talent? Well, come see the Prom Talent Show next Tuesday, April 21st. There are two shows at 5 and 7:30. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria during both lunches for only $5. Come see all of Arapahoe’s talent.

Hey, were you selected to be in the Prom Talent Show? If so, please attend a short mandatory meeting after school tomorrow, Friday April 17th at 2:30 in room C21. Please see Mrs. Davis or Mrs. Melin if you cannot attend.

Due to a scheduling conflict with CSAP, the swim waiver in the spring was missed by several students. The Physical Education department is going to give the swim waiver for the last time this school year on: Thursday, April 30th @ 6:00 am. You must bring your own goggles and be at the pool by 6:00am. If you have any questions, please stop by Mrs. Leyden’s office or give her a call at 303-347-6091. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Attention Knowledge Trivia Enthusiasts!! The Spring Knowledge Master Open is scheduled for today after school in room E-9. We need your knowledge! Please see Mrs. Lobser to sign up.

The State ACT is on April 22nd. If you missed registration, please make an appointment with your counselor.

Have you always wanted to use the school loud speaker? Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day? If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions with Mrs. Ayres in the Attendance Office. Auditions will be held Tuesday, April 28, at 2:30. Deadline to sign up is Friday, April 24.

Hey all Juniors and Seniors, Prom is right around the corner on May 2nd. The theme is Venetian Affair. Tickets for Prom will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches starting Monday, April 20 and will be sold through Friday, May 1st. Tickets are $38 in advance and $45 at the door.

Athletics

The JV Gold Boys Lacrosse Team rolled over Cherokee Trails last night in a big 14-3 win!
Lead Scorers in the game were Andy Ronald and Chris Youngblade with 3 goals, Cody Kotelko, Dan Mercier, and Ben Knopf with 2 goals each, and Nick Prudhomme and Mike Schmidt with 1 goal each.
Come on out to Powell at 4:30 today, where the JV Gold Warriors take on the JV Black Warriors in their first regulation game against each other all season! It's sure to be a very exciting and close game! GO WARRIORS!!


Congratulations to the Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Team for their decisive victory over Cherokee Trail last night. The Parietti brothers had 4 goals combined, and Hunter Hall had a hat trick. Ten additional Warriors brought the score to 17 with goals and assists. Well done and well played, Warriors!

Also, come cheer on the Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team today as they take on Overland High School at LPS stadium at 4 p.m. Go Warriors!"

Congrats to the Girls JV Soccer team who defeated Overland 9 – 0 on Tuesday.

Congratulations to the Lady Lax Warriors for their 18-7 win over Grandview, their 17-4 victory over Cherokee Trail, and their 12-7 victory in their game against Ralston Valley. Great job Varsity Lady Lax Warriors on your hard fought 14-14 tie against Smoky Hill yesterday. Kudos to Megan O'Donnell who led the scoring offensive with 5 goals and 2 assists! Rachel Sutton added 3 goals and 1 assist, Stacey Birlson 2 goals and 1 assist, a goal and assist each for Aubry Pullara and Molly O'Donnell, and one goal each for Kayla Fasold and Beth Ambrozic. Good luck tomorrow in your away match-up with Creek!

JV girls golf took 2nd overall in Tuesday’s tournament at Indian Tree, led by Bessie Stanisz, Kelly Oliver and Marissa Scott. Samantha Lea won the closest to the pin contest.
