November 7, 2011

General Announcements:

This coming Friday, November 11, is Veterans’ Day. In honor of the men and women who served and are currently serving in the US Armed Forces, Arapahoe will be recognizing their commitment and bravery for the next five days. Please stop by the Military Wall of Honor and add the names of your family members who have served in the armed forces on the Military Heritage board designed by the Art Department and located by the Security Office in the cafeteria this week. If you have time on Friday, come to the Forum and listen to veterans speak about their experiences.

Would you like to send a service member a holiday card to let them know they are being thought of? Then please drop a signed card into the collection box for Holiday Mail for Heroes at the cafeteria or in the library. Cards must be signed and contain no addresses or personal information. The cards can be commercial or handmade. Cards are sent to random service members and cannot be delivered to specific individuals. Cards do not need envelops as envelopes will be removed prior to shipment. Collections will continue through Nov. 11. Thank you for considering those who are serving the nation this season.
