General Announcements

Congratulations to all members of the Warrior Marching Band who performed in Saturday's Friendship Cup Festival in Longmont. Arapahoe placed 2nd out of 19 competing bands, with a season high 79.2 points!! The Warrior Marching Band placed 1st in the Individual Music caption for the day! The band would like to invite all of you to their state qualifying performance at LPS Stadium on Thursday, at 8:30pm.

Hey Sophomores, we will have our next Student Council meeting after school on Tuesday, October 14th in C-20. We will start promptly at 2:20 and not go past 3:00. Contact Mrs. Melin in the World Language office or Mrs. Davis in the English office for any questions. Thanks, and hope to see you there!

Attention juniors and seniors. Did you know that you can take college courses that can count as both high school and college credit? If you are interested, please attend an informational meeting regarding the Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program today in the Forum during the lunch periods. A representative of the PSEO program will provide information on how to take part in this exciting program.

Stay tuned for the following important announcement…..The next TSA meeting will be tomorrow after school, Tuesday, Oct 14th in room E10 at 2:20. We will be signing up for potential state events and will be handing out the TSA state conference registration materials! Remember to bring your TSA dues, as you need to be officially registered with the National office to compete at the state conference! See Mr. McMullen for questions and details.

Athletics

The Boy’s varsity tennis team took 2nd place at the Regional Tournament last Friday and qualified for state at 5 out of 7 positions. Competing at the State Tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday are Cole Conley, Ky Kocur, Brian Craig, Eric Law, Ryan Beckett, Wade Schutte, Paul Friedrich and Matt Nadel. Congratulations guys!

Congrats to the boys Varsity soccer team who routed Cherokee Trail 8 – 1 Saturday.

Congratulations to golfers David Holtgrewe and Nick Davis who played in the state tournament at the Air Force Academy. David had the 3rd best score out of 84 golfers on the first day and finished in 24th place. Nick had the 5th best score on the 2nd day and finished in 10th place. Also, David, Nick, and Brian Zenk were named to the All Centennial League team. The team finished 2nd to Cherry Creek in league play.

The Arapahoe girls swimming team will have a meeting on Tuesday October 14th. Please meet in the swimming pool as the meeting will begin at 2:25 PM.

All Freshman Girls interested in basketball, there will be a short informational meeting with coach Burgin on Tuesday, October 14th at 2:20 pm in room S14.

The Arapahoe Boys swimming team will have a meeting on Wednesday, October 15th. Please meet in the swimming pool as the meeting will begin at 2:25 PM.
