General Announcements

Congratulations to our top scoring Colorado Math League participants! Due to our students’ extraordinary mathematical talent, Arapahoe has the highest possible score on the first CML Contest. Please recognize the following students who earned a perfect score of 6: Tim Chilton, Lara McDougald, Pieter Orlandini, Tom Roberts & Lindsay Strait!

Good luck to all members of the Warrior Marching Band who will be performing at the State Championships tomorrow! Arapahoe is going in as the #3 seed. Our semis performance will be at noon, at Northglenn's 5 Star Stadium. The Warrior Band's Finals performance should be around 9pm at Invesco Field! Come on out and cheer on your band!!

Attention all Sophomores!
What: The PLAN test is the practice ACT test. Get prepared for college!
When: Saturday November 1st. Please arrive at 7:45a.m.
Where: Science Wing
How: Registration begins Monday October 20th and ends on October 29th.
Please bring $20.00 and a photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up. PLAN for your future!!!!

The Fall play “Flowers for Algernon” is tonight and tomorrow night. Tickets are $5 and are on sale during lunch today in the cafeteria.

Do you write? Paint? Draw? This is a great opportunity to have your artwork, poetry and short stories published in Arapahoe’s literary magazine, The MUSE! Submissions will be accepted starting October 31st until December 12th. Directions to submit are on the AHS website under activities, The MUSE. See Mr. Miles in the English office for details.

Attention juniors and seniors. Did you know that you can take college courses that can count as both high school and college credit? If you are interested, please see Mrs. Boyce in Guidance asap! We are enrolling students in the PSEO program for winter/spring courses. The forms must be returned to Guidance by Wednesday, the 29th. Please take part in this exciting program!

Attention Math Club members! In preparation for the CSU Math Day competition, we will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 in Room S-8. For more details, see the Math Announcements board right outside the math office.

Take a guess….if you dare. Stop by the library and guess how much candy is in the jar and you could win it all.


Athletics

The Toms have spirit and they want you to have spirit too. It's our last football game for the season and we're selling spirit pops in the cafeteria today at both lunches. These flavorful gourmet lollipops are one for 75 cents or 2 for a dollar. Come support the Toms and get some spirit!

Guess what Seniors? Tonight is the last home football game of your high school career. Come get ready for it at the Senior class tailgate party from 4-6 in the west parking lot by the track. The cost is $3 for pizza, dessert, and a drink. Come wearing black!

Tonight is a special Varsity football game.........It's Senior Night! Beginning at 6 PM please come out to recognize Senior players and their families. The game versus Smoky Hill High School follows at 7 PM.
Tomorrow at 9 AM come cheer on your Freshman Warrior Football team in their game against Smokey Hill. The Freshmen are coming off a big victory last week versus Cherokee Trail. Following that game stay and watch your Junior Varsity Warrior Football team battle Smoky Hill at 11:30 AM.
