General Announcements
Picture retakes will be taken in the theater hallway today from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Bring in your original packet for exchange.

Congratulations to all members of the Warrior Marching Band who performed at yesterday's Pikes Peak March of Champions. Arapahoe placed first with a season high 81.80 points!! The Warrior Marching Band also placed first with their Drum Majors, Percussion and Color Guard!!! The band would like to invite all of you to cheer them on at their State Championships on Saturday. Semis will be at noon at Northglenn's 5 Star Stadium, followed by a finals performance, at approximately 9pm, at Invesco Field!!! Go Warrior Band!

Today FBLA has a meeting in room S5 after school to work on door decorations for Trick or Treat Street. It is not too late to join, come by and get involved with FBLA! November 5th is the last day to join.

French Club will be meeting tomorrow in room C21 at 2:30. Please come!

Attention all Sophomores!
What: The PLAN test is the practice ACT test. Get prepared for college!
When: Saturday November 1st. Please arrive at 7:45a.m.
Where: Science Wing
How: Registration begins Monday October 20th and ends on October 29th.
Please bring $20.00 and a photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up. PLAN for your future!!!!

The Fall play “Flowers for Algernon” is Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week. Tickets are $5 and are on sale during lunches all this week in the cafeteria.

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The 2009 trip to Washington D.C. is here again! This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand as we enter a new era in politics. For those interested in this trip please attend an informational meeting on Thursday, October 23rd at 2:30 in room N-2. If you are unable to attend the meeting please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mr. Myer in the Social Studies department.

Do you write? Paint? Draw? This is a great opportunity to have your artwork, poetry and short stories published in Arapahoe’s literary magazine, The MUSE! Submissions will be accepted starting October 31st until December 12th. Directions to submit are on the AHS website under activities, The MUSE. Get your submissions in ASAP! See Mr. Miles in the English office for details.

Guess what Seniors? This Friday October 24th is the last home football game of your high school career. Come get ready for it at the Senior class tailgate party from 4-6 in the west parking lot by the track. The cost is $3 for pizza, dessert, and a drink. Come wearing black!

Attention Math Club members! In preparation for the CSU Math Day competition, we will be meeting each Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 in Room S-8. For more details, see the Math Announcements board right outside the math office.


Athletics

Congrats to the Varsity boys soccer team for their win over Rampart last night in the first round of the state playoffs. The final score was 3 – 1. They will play Bear Creek here at Arapahoe on Thursday, October 23rd at 4:00 pm. Admission prices will be $5 for adults and $4 for all students K-12 as well as Senior Citizens. No SBA passes will be accepted at this game. GO WARRIORS!!!!
A reminder to all JV soccer players: mandatory uniform check-in is today in room C-7 at 2:45. Have ALL of your uniforms there.
