The Freshman Boys’ Lacrosse team beat Golden High School 10-8 last night. They play their last game tomorrow. Come watch them beat Grandview on Saturday at Powell Middle School at 10am.
Congrats to the JV Girls' Lacrosse team for their outstanding 15-4 victory over Mullen last night. It was a great team effort! Come out to root them on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 as they host Chaparral at Newton Middle School.
The Varsity Men's Swim and Dive team lost to Creek yesterday, but had many amazing performances, including several A-league and state qualifying swims and dives. Remember that our last dual meet is next Tuesday at Cherokee Trail, and league meets start next weekend.

Congratulations to Tony Junta, Matt Malech, Bronson Dowd, and Jake Sillman who are quarterfinalists in the JEM scholarship debate competition. Come see them debate 4th, 5th, and 6th hours in the forum. They will debate whether or not we should use the death penalty.
Jazz is in the air! Come celebrate the end of the jazz season tonight in the Theater as Jazz I and Jazz II perform their final concert of the season. Seating is limited, and it will be on stage.
Today Student Council will hold elections for officer positions for the 2010 and 2011 school year. We encourage all students to come to the cafeteria between 7 and 2:30 to choose their student leadership.

Both teams put forth a tremendous effort in yesterday's Arapahoe Warriors vs Ralston Valley High School Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse match. The game was a nail-biting tie at the half, but with a "W" very necessary to the Arapahoe Lady Warriors to keep their playoff hopes within reach, key plays were made in the draw control category by center Alli Camp, and critical goal attempts were thwarted by netminder Chloe Williams. Scoring for your Lady Warriors were Sydney Engelhart and Rachael Sutton with 4 goals each, Sarah Miller with 2 goals, and singles by Audrey Damico, Amber Olsen, Alli Camp, Lauren Elliott, and Emma Lattin. Next up is Mullen, tomorrow at 4:00pm at Mullen. Come on out and support your Arapahoe Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Team! Go Warriors!

Scoring goals for the Lady Warriors were Rachael Sutton with 8, Alli Camp and Lauren Elliott each with 3, Sydney Englehart with 2, and singles by Sarah Miller, Molly O'Donnell, Analise Stein, Amy Foster, Shannan Pullara, Emma Lattin, Maddie Miller, and Chloe Williams. Goalie Emily Johnson, who came in for the second half of the game relieving Williams to the attack line, finished out the game with a shutout to her credit. Come on out for this afternoon's game against the 8-1 Ralston Valley Mustangs, 4:30pm at the LPS Stadium - FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL!

Congratulations to AHS Girls’ Golf. They won the Littleton Invitational Tournament at Glenmoor yesterday. Katy Dyachkova was 3rd with a 76 and Claudia Davis was 5th with a 78. Sarah Moore finished with an 81 and Becky Gutknecht had an 89.
The Girls’ JV Lacrosse team had a big victory last night over Cherokee Trail, with a final score of 14-1! They take on Kent tonight at Newton, so come and cheer them on!
The Boys’ L3 Lacrosse team had yet another win on Saturday against Eaglecrest, It was an exciting game with a final score of 16-9. They play again on Wed with a match up against Cherry Creek at 4:30 at Powell. Come watch the action.

ABK had a big win over #3 Air Academy on a Laura Fee’s goal with an assist from Andrea Lewis with 12 seconds left in overtime to win 1-0. Come see your ABK girls in action on Tuesday 4/20 at 7p.m. at LPSS against Smoky Hill, and Thursday 4/22 against Cherokee Trail at Legacy stadium at 5:30. Your ABK team has now taken over the #1 spot in the state! You want to be sure you catch all the action!

After being defeated 6-18 by the #1 ranked Cherry Creek Bruins Girls Lacrosse Team on Monday, the girls in black came back strong to soundly rout the Overland Trailblazers yesterday 21-0. Scoring goals for the Lady Warriors Girls Lacrosse Team were Rachael Sutton with 7, Syd Engelhart, Maddie Miller, Sarah Miller, Amber Oleson and Molly O'Donnell each with 2, and Alli Camp, Audrey Damico, Kayla Fasold, and Emma Lattin each with 1. And, after a tremendous workout Monday against Cherry Creek seeing 36 shots and saving 18, netminder Chloe Williams only had to fend off one shot in Wednesday’s match. Next up is Smoky Hill today at 5pm at Stutler Bowl. Go Warriors!

After being defeated 6-18 by the #1 ranked Cherry Creek Bruins Girls Lacrosse Team on Monday, the girls in black came back strong to soundly rout the Overland Trailblazers yesterday 21-0. Scoring goals for the Lady Warriors Girls Lacrosse Team were Rachael Sutton with 7, Syd Engelhart, Maddie Miller, Sarah Miller, Amber Oleson and Molly O'Donnell each with 2, and Alli Camp, Audrey Damico, Kayla Fasold, and Emma Lattin each with 1. And, after a tremendous workout Monday against Cherry Creek seeing 36 shots and saving 18, netminder Chloe Williams only had to fend off one shot in Wednesday’s match. Next up is Smoky Hill today at 5pm at Stutler Bowl. Go Warriors!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Golf for another 1st place tournament victory at Deer Creek yesterday in extremely windy conditions. We were led by Katy Dyachkova's first place score of 80. Sarah Moore and Claudia Davis each had an 84.
Tonight we honor the seniors of the Varsity 1 Boys’ Lacrosse team as they play against Cherokee Trail. 7:30 p.m. at LPS. Come watch us in our battle for another win and highlight the seniors.
Let's cheer on our Boys' JV Lacrosse players as they continue with their winning streak at Cherokee Trail High School at 4:30 today. Good Luck Warriors!
Congrats to the Freshman team after our intense weekend tournament against Heritage, Valor and Kent we walked walked away with a 1-3 victory! Today at 4:30 the Freshman boys Lacrosse team are back in action at Regis High School...Join us in cheering them on to another win!Go Warriors!

With three new state qualifiers, and several returning qualifiers, Arapahoe blew the other swimmers out of the water! Way to go swimmers! Remember to come on down to the pool and cheer us on to more victories as the season progresses.

The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team won their game against Grandview on Friday: 23 to 11. Rachel Sutton lead the scoring with 8 goals, followed by Allie Camp with 6 goals, Kayla Fasold with 4 goals, Emma Lattin with 2 goals and Audrey Damico, Lauren Elliott and Sydney Engelhart with 1 goal each. The JV Girls' Lacrosse team had an outstanding game against Grandview on Friday night and came away with an impressive 13-2 victory. Come cheer them on as they take on Cherry Creek tonight at 6:00 at Newton Middle School.
Another strong win in a hard fought battle between #3 Arapahoe and #5 Pine Creek. The always exciting ABK girls came out on top 1-0 on a Sam Harder set play to the feet of Torie Amsberry who scored the only goal of the game.
ABK is now 7-0 defeating 2 of the top 10 teams in the state, we also had a strong showing from our JV team with a 2-0 victory bringing their record to 3-0-1. Come out and join the girls at the Overland High School fields at 4:30 Tues 4/13 against Overland for some fun and exciting action. Then we do it again on Thursday 4/15 at 4:30 on the AHS fields Against Mullen. To complete the tough week, we will be playing Air Academy 4/17 at 9am at the K Dome. This will pit the #3 ABK Warriors against #4 Air Academy Cadets. Don’t miss any of the action!
The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team took 1st Place at the Phil Krous Invitational tournament this weekend hosted by Denver East High School. 1st place finishes were accomplished by Saryn Mooney, Lauren Ciancio and Katie Rafaghello. 2nd Place finishers were Sarah Ray, Elly Fryberger, Cat Cole and Jessica Wener. 3rd Place finishers were Kelly Ervine and Rose Rapp. Finishing in 4th Place were Hailey Johnson and Lara McDougald. Congratulations girls! Come out to the Arapahoe and Powell courts tomorrow and watch your Girls’ Tennis teams go up against Eaglecrest.
The Girls’ JV Tennis team won the Heritage Invitational Tournament team trophy with 303 points. Eight doubles teams were entered in the tournament. 6 teams took 1st place and 1 team took 2nd. Way to go Girls’ JV Tennis!

Congratulations to the Boys' JV Lacrosse team for their 18-3 blowout win against Eaglecrest on Friday afternoon, as well as their 5-1 victory against Golden Sr. High School on Saturday. Way to Go Warriors!
The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse team won their game against Grandview on Friday: 23 to 11. Rachel Sutton lead the scoring with 8 goals, followed by Allie Camp with 6 goals, Kayla Fasold with 4 goals, Emma Lattin with 2 goals and Audrey Damico, Lauren Elliott and Sydney Engelhart with 1 goal each. Congrats Warriors! The Varsity Girls face Cherry Creek on Monday at 4:30pm at the Newton field. Good Luck!
The JV Girls' Lacrosse team had an outstanding game against Grandview on Friday night and came away with an impressive 13-2 victory. Come cheer them on as they take on Cherry Creek tonight at 6:00 at Newton Middle School.
Another strong win in a hard fought battle between #3 Arapahoe and #5 Pine Creek. The always exciting ABK girls came out on top 1-0 on a Sam Harder set play to the feet of Torie Amsberry who scored the only goal of the game.
ABK is now 7-0 defeating 2 of the top 10 teams in the state, we also had a strong showing from our JV team with a 2-0 victory bringing their record to 3-0-1. Come out and join the girls at the Overland High School fields at 4:30 Tues 4/13 against Overland for some fun and exciting action. Then we do it again on Thursday 4/15 at 4:30 on the AHS fields Against Mullen. To complete the tough week, we will be playing Air Academy 4/17 at 9am at the K Dome. This will pit the #3 ABK Warriors against #4 Air Academy Cadets. Don’t miss any of the action!
The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team took 1st Place at the Phil Krous Invitational tournament this weekend hosted by Denver East High School. 1st place finishes were accomplished by Saryn Mooney, Lauren Ciancio and Katie Rafaghello. 2nd Place finishers were Sarah Ray, Elly Fryberger, Cat Cole and Jessica Wener. 3rd Place finishers were Kelly Ervine and Rose Rapp. Finishing in 4th Place were Hailey Johnson and Lara McDougald. Congratulations girls! Come out to the Arapahoe and Powell courts tomorrow and watch your Girls’ Tennis teams go up against Eaglecrest.

After beating Littleton 8-1 on Monday, the Freshman Boys’ Lacrosse team is back in action this afternoon. They'll try to improve on their 4-1 record as they travel to Bell Middle School for their next game against Golden High School at 5:00.
The Girls’ Varsity Tennis team lost a close match on Monday to Mullen, by a score of 3-4. If the weather improves today, come on out to the Arapahoe courts to cheer on the Varsity team as they go up against Heritage.

Congratulations to the Winter Percussion Ensemble for an incredible performance at last Saturday’s state finals! Competing in the highest division, our winter percussion ensemble placed 2nd and earned the silver medal. Our students represented Arapahoe High School with the greatest professionalism. Way to go Warriors!!!

The Warrior Varsity Girls Lacrosse team lost a heartbreaker to Regis 12-13 in overtime on Thursday. Four goals each were made by Megan O'Donnell and Rachael Sutton, with singles scored by Sydney Engelhart, Audrey Damico, Alli Camp, and Kayla Fasold. Goalie Chloe Williams saw 25 shots in all. The girls in black are looking forward to their first win when they take on Cherokee Trail Wednesday at LPS Stadium. Go Warriors!

If you like problem solving, building things, and to be challenged mathematically, then you should attend Metro State Math Day. General Announcements
Warrior Week is here! Catch a Dream – Change a Life. Funds collected throughout Warrior Week will help support 2 organizations: (1) St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and (2) The Dalit Freedom Network. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital helps support children suffering from cancer and other catastrophic diseases. The Dalit Freedom Network supports the Dalit people of India – with population estimates of 250 million, this is the largest number of people categorized as victims of modern-day slavery. Student Council members will be carrying marked tennis cans throughout Warrior Week to collect money for these 2 organizations. Donations can also be placed into one of the large jugs located in the library, the front office or the DECA store.
As part of Warrior Week, AnnaSophia Robb will be speaking about her work with the Dalit and her trip to India. She will be speaking in the Forum during both lunches today. Everyone is invited to attend.
In support of Warrior Week, the annual Staff vs. Senior basketball game is tonight at 7pm in the AHS gymnasium. Tickets are $3 presale or $5 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in the cafeteria during lunches today. Warrior Week t-shirts are also on sale during lunches.

Today the Varsity Baseball team plays Monarch at home. Come out have a hot dog and some peanuts and cheer them on to Victory at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon. The next Varsity game is Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at home vs. Highlands Ranch.
