General Announcements

Interested in leadership? In having a role in important school events like prom and homecoming? Come to the student council intent-to-run meeting at 2:30 today in the forum and see what student leadership is all about!

ATTENTION ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS!!! Today is the day – “ART ATTACK” is TODAY!!! The Awards Ceremony is tonight in the Theater Hallway at 7:30 pm.

Students and staff are invited to view the ArtAttack artwork now on display in the east hallways and on the west side of the cafeteria. You are also invited to attend the reception and award ceremonies tonight from 7:00 until 8:30. Thanks to all of the wonderful AHS student artists.

Attention all NHS members: We have a very important meeting this Wednesday right after school in the forum regarding opportunities, hours, and elections. Please plan to attend.

Scholarships and Seniors: First Bank is offering a scholarship for 1 student from Arapahoe. Please stop by the Post Grad Center today to get the application. Deadline date is April 23..

Have you taken a lot of Business Classes? If you have you may qualify for a certificate of proficiency in the area of business. Please come by and fill out an application in the Business office. They must be turned in by April the 19th.

FBLA-we have a very important meeting on Wednesday April 14th after school in room S1. We will be collecting lettering applications and handing out officer application at this meeting. See you there.

Hey AHS students! Guess what happened on March 11, 1964? Come to the AHS Prom Fashion show, April 19th at 7:00 pm in the Theater to find out more… Tickets are $2 at the door. Hope to see you all there!

Do you have a special talent???? Then why aren’t you signed up to try out for the Prom talent show? SIGN UP ASAP!!!! Tryouts are Tuesday, April 20th from 2:30 – 5:30 pm and Wednesday, April 21 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.

Seniors, here is your chance to leave a legacy with your friends and family. Sign-up now for graduation speaker auditions. Auditions will be held on Thursday, April 22nd. Please sign-up in Mrs. Sisler’s office by Friday, April 16th. This is a rare opportunity to share your observations with a captive audience. See Mrs. Cornils in the Social Studies Office for more details.






Athletics

Attention all Guy Cheers and Guy Toms…practice will be in the upper gym tonight at 6:30 p.m. Please remember your mouth guards. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Pramenko.

Congratulations to the Girls’ Varsity Golf team for placing 1st at the Thorncreek Invitational yesterday. Individual honors also went to Katy Dychakova for her 2nd place finish and to Sarah Moore for her 6th place finish. Keep up the great playing ladies and good luck at the league tournament today.

The Girls’ JV Lacrosse team played a remarkable game against Cherry Creek last night and came away with a definitive 12-6 victory, improving their season record to 4-1. Next up, they travel to ThunderRidge on Thursday night, so come out and root them on.

Come out today and cheer on your Varsity Baseball team as they take on Mullen High School today here at 4:00 p.m.

Come out and join the ABK girls at the Overland High School fields at 4:30 today against Overland for some fun and exciting action.

Hey Arapahoe, your men's swim and dive team would like to remind you to come down to the pool and support your swimmers and divers today at 4:00 pm as we take on Heritage and Littleton in a tri-meet. Bring a friend and cheer us on as we take on our rivals!
