General Announcements

Attention all NHS members: We have a very important meeting today right after school in the forum regarding opportunities, hours, and elections. Please plan to attend.

FBLA-we have a very important meeting today after school in room S1. We will be collecting lettering applications and handing out officer applications at this meeting. See you there.

Have you taken a lot of Business Classes? If you have you may qualify for a certificate of proficiency in the area of business. Please come by and fill out an application in the Business office. They must be turned in by April 19th.

Interested in running for a student council office for the 2010-2011 school year? Stop by Mr. Brandberg’s office in World Language or Mrs. Lee’s office in Language Arts to get an application. Applications for all potential officers are due Tuesday, April 21st.

Did you know that the average cost of a movie ticket in 1970 was $1.25? To see more about how things have changed throughout the years, go to the AHS Prom Fashion show! It’s coming up April 19th at 7:00 pm in the Theater. Tickets are $2 at the door. Hope to see you all there!

Attention Chess Players! All students and staff are invited to participate in the AHS Student/Staff Chess Tournament on Tuesday, April 20th at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. All levels of players are invited to participate! Please see Mrs. Lobser in the Study Center to sign up!

Do you have a special talent???? Then why aren’t you signed up to try out for the Prom talent show? SIGN UP ASAP!!!! Tryouts are Tuesday, April 20th from 2:30 – 5:30 pm and Wednesday, April 21 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.

Attention All Juniors!!! The State ACT is on April 28th. If you missed registration, please go the Guidance Office for Registration Materials.

Seniors, here is your chance to leave a legacy with your friends and family. Sign-up now for graduation speaker auditions. Auditions will be held on Thursday, April 22nd. Please sign-up in Mrs. Sisler’s office by Friday, April 16th. This is a rare opportunity to share your observations with a captive audience. See Mrs. Cornils in the Social Studies Office for more details.

Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Golf for another 1st place tournament victory at Deer Creek yesterday in extremely windy conditions. We were led by Katy Dyachkova's first place score of 80. Sarah Moore and Claudia Davis each had an 84.

Tonight we honor the seniors of the Varsity 1 Boys’ Lacrosse team as they play against Cherokee Trail. 7:30 p.m. at LPS. Come watch us in our battle for another win and highlight the seniors.
Let's cheer on our Boys' JV Lacrosse players as they continue with their winning streak at Cherokee Trail High School at 4:30 today. Good Luck Warriors!

Congrats to the Freshman team after our intense weekend tournament against Heritage, Valor and Kent we walked walked away with a 1-3 victory! Today at 4:30 the Freshman boys Lacrosse team are back in action at Regis High School...Join us in cheering them on to another win!Go Warriors!

Congratulations to the men's swim team, for their win against both Littleton and Heritage! With three new state qualifiers, and several returning qualifiers, Arapahoe blew the other swimmers out of the water! Way to go swimmers! Remember to come on down to the pool and cheer us on to more victories as the season progresses.

Your Girls’ Varsity Tennis team defeated Eaglecrest last night by a score of 7-0. The entire team gave up a total of 8 games out of 92 played. Congratulations girls. The Varsity and JV teams will play at Smoky Hill on Thursday.

The Girls’ JV Tennis team remains undefeated after dominating Eaglecrest yesterday 14 -0.
