General Announcements

Attention Student Council students who signed up to host the students from the Wyoming Indian High School. Please plan to meet Mrs. Pramenko in the cafeteria at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Also, please make sure you check your email this afternoon.

Congratulations to all of you lucky senior boys who were chosen to “represent” for the Class of 2010 Arapahoe Guy Cheers and Tom Boys!!!! Your money and permission slips must be turned in to Mrs. Pramenko no later than 3:00 p.m. today if you want to participate.

Tickets for the Spring Musical are going fast…Friday and Saturday performances are sold out so get your tickets for Wednesday or Thursday during lunches this week!

Calling all math students! Metro State Math Day is Wednesday, April 14th. If you like problem solving, building things, and to be challenged mathematically, then you should attend Metro State Math Day. It is on Wednesday, April 14th and will be a full day of math activities. Anyone interested, please stop by Mrs. Bretz’s desk in the math office and take a permission slip.

Attention Juniors: AHS is able to offer a free practice ACT Tuesday April 13th from 4:00-7:30 p.m. in Rooms N-2 and N-3. Sign up in the Guidance Center now! Princeton Review will offer a feedback session on Monday, April 26.

Do you have a special talent???? Then why aren’t you signed up to try out for the Prom talent show? SIGN UP ASAP!!!! Tryouts are Tuesday, April 20th from 2:30 – 5:30 pm and Wednesday, April 21 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office.

Attention All Juniors!!!! Registration for the State ACT is coming….April 12th in Western Civilization Classrooms. Counselors will walk you through it during class time. If you don’t have a Western Civ. class, please make an appointment with your counselor.

Seniors, here is your chance to leave a legacy with your friends and family. Sign-up now for graduation speaker auditions. Auditions will be held on Thursday, April 22nd. Please sign-up in Mrs. Sisler’s office by Friday, April 16th. This is a rare opportunity to share your observations with a captive audience. See Mrs. Cornils in the Social Studies Office for more details.

Athletics

Girls Lacrosse team was victorious over Cherokee Trail…16-6. Leading scorer was Rachel Sutton with 7 goals followed by Sydney Engelhart with 3 goals and Allie Camp with 2 goals. Maddie Miller, Audrey Damico, Lauren Ellitt and Amber Olsen each had 1 goal.

Your Girls’ Varsity Tennis team enjoyed a big win last night against Heritage. Your Warriors defeated the Eagles by a score of 5-2. Congratulations girls! A big thank you goes out to our many fans who showed up to cheer on the team. Come out to the Arapahoe courts today to cheer on the Varsity team as they go up against Overland.

The Girls’ JV Tennis team defeated Heritage yesterday winning 14 - 3. The team plays Overland today at Powell @ 3:30.

The Freshman Lacrosse team has their makeup game today against Cherry Creek, at Powell @ 4:30 - with luck our weather will hold out and we will have another victory under our belt. Come cheer us on!Go Warriors!

Come on down to the pool today at 4:30 and support your Men’s Swimming and Diving team. We are competing against Mullen and we want to pack the house!
