General Announcements

Attention All Juniors: The State ACT is tomorrow. Please arrive at 7:10 so you are not feeling rushed. Room assignments are posted in the cafeteria. Please bring your calculator, student ID, and two #2 pencils…no mechanical pencils will be allowed.

Tickets for the Company shows Steel Magnolias and Brighton Beach Memoirs are on sale now. See Mr. Earley or any Company member for details. Information is posted on Theatre Call Board and on flyers around the school. Seating is limited.

Attention all FCCLA members – please plan to attend our next meeting this Wednesday after school in room E2. We will be making jolly rancher roses so stop in and enjoy the fun! See you there FCCLA!

This Thursday, April 29th, Student Council will hold elections for officer positions for the 2010 and 2011 school year. We encourage all students to come to the cafeteria between 7 and 2:30 to choose their student leadership.

If you are planning on taking the Medicine Class in the fall, you will need to get a registration sticker from Mr. Craig. Please stop by the Science Department and find Mr. Craig as soon as possible.

Attention to all of you who made it into the Prom Talent Show. You must pick up some important information from either Mrs. Lhotta or Mrs. Hitchens. Contracts must be turned in by Friday!

Want to work in the DECA Store next year?! Applications are available NOW in the business department. Get them quickly - spots fill up fast!!

Attention Warriors! The Prom Talent Show is right around the corner. Make sure to buy your tickets in the cafeteria May 3rd and 4th during both lunches. Tickets will also be sold at the door. The talent show is May 4th at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Prom royalty will be announced at the 7:00 show. Hope to see you there Warriors!

Hey all you seniors!!! Don’t forget there is a very important Senior Class Meeting on tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. in the AHS Theater. We will be discussing graduation details and other end of the year information. Please be on time!

Attention Juniors and Seniors! This year’s prom theme is “Time of Your Life” and it is approaching quickly. Tickets are on sale until Friday, May 7, in the cafeteria during both lunches. The cost of a single ticket is $38, and will cost $45 at the door. Prom is Saturday, May 8, at 8:00 pm at the Denver Center for Performing Arts’ Seawell Ballroom.

Athletics

Congratulations to Coach Jerry Knafelc – our new Head Girls Basketball Coach! All girls basketball players – please report to Classroom C3 immediately after school for a short meeting.

The Boys’ Lacrosse Varsity 2 team competes today with Cherry Creek High School (Creek Red) at the Powell Middle School Fields at 4:30 p.m. Go Warriors Lacrosse! Stop by and cheer your Warriors to Victory!

Yesterday your Arapahoe Warriors Girls’ Lacrosse team dominated the Eaglecrest Raptors, coming away with a 24-1 win. Scoring goals for the Lady Warriors were Rachael Sutton with 8, Alli Camp and Lauren Elliott each with 3, Sydney Englehart with 2, and singles by Sarah Miller, Molly O'Donnell, Analise Stein, Amy Foster, Shannan Pullara, Emma Lattin, Maddie Miller, and Chloe Williams. Goalie Emily Johnson, who came in for the second half of the game relieving Williams to the attack line, finished out the game with a shutout to her credit. Come on out for this afternoon's game against the 8-1 Ralston Valley Mustangs, 4:30pm at the LPS Stadium - FREE ADMISSION FOR ALL!
